Tried them..not for me...my lad loves them....I don't understand the need for them for me not craved them all my life..however my lad likes them....and growing up here...id rather he has the halal option....BUT....he only wants them because there is a halal version, otherwise he wouldn't have tried them....which brings me back to my original point...why do we need them? We don't do sausages...we do Seekh kebabs WTF
I would say the only thing you will have missed out on is Chorizo. If you can get that halal I'd highly recommend it. Other than that, the rest you're not missing out on at all tbh
Do you go purely by the date or do you actually check them? On another note gonna get some chorizo for dinner tonight now I reckon!
One of my favourite meals is Chicken & Chorizo hotpot. Made with Chorizo Picante, loads of garlic, red onion, chopped toms, Tom purée, sliced red and green peppers, dash of extra pimenton picante ( if needed or required) and beans. Usually have that with brown basmati rice and a glass of Ribera. ( Sorry L.L.)!
Understand being fussy with eggs etc. but it's a bug bear of mine that people just throw away so much food when it hits the expiry date, when a lot of it will still be good for quite a while after that. With eggs I just always break them into a glass and as long as there's no red in it then good to go Probably right with 2 weeks though That sounds amazing!
Just joining the party here, roasted chorizo is the finest flavour in the world bar absolutely **** all. Bravo to whoever invented it because it's ****ing epic. I make a fine roasted chorizo and goats cheese risotto. I made it up. Honest. Anyway, been to Swansea v Stoke today, good win for the swans and my lads loved it. There's a very nice atmos there, lods of kids taking advantage of being able to see premier league football, hope they stay up. Caught the last hour of the Chelsea Spurs semi, looked a cracker of a game. She's got BGT on now, bag of ****e.
Just walking to work, looks like it's gonna be a lovely day. Once today is done got 2 weeks off Me at 2:30-
Right, playing my ace card on the sausage front. Not quite a sausage I suppose, but my friend runs a charcuterie and makes the most amazing black olive salami. Most salami is bound together with pork fat, so they are quite greasy. This one is smoked and air dried, then bound with olive oil and black olives. It is really strong and more crumbly. Perfect for topping off dishes like risotto or in feta salads etc. But imo best eaten alongside a vintage cheddar. I'm hungry.......
