So did the writer call Allam a camel swagger or not? If he didn't why is he a dozy twat for saying it was an untruth. I haven't read it but see people have referred to the phrases sand lickers and pyramid trotter which were used (and don't seem to be amongst the worst supposed racist insults I have ever heard). But did he use the words camel shagger?
Read it yourself, it's been posted on this thread. He seems to think calling 'Hull City's owners' camel shaggers, rather than specifically naming the Allams, puts him in the clear.
It seems camel shagging is acceptable if you read the link. As long as he slaughtered it afterwards and didn't try to sell the meat to neighbours in Melton but to neighbouring villages. I havent read all the posts but ive seen camels in Lanzarote and im sure they are present in Saudi and in other Arab countries, if TFC had said Egyptian camel shaggers then that could be construed as racist, also The Shag is a popular dance in America so maybe they were referring to Ehabs peccadillo for doing the two step with said camel. And doesn't sand licker refer to the sexual practice of muff diving with a beard growth of a couple of days? Is being "Offended" now a medical condition? Or, you know, when the comment is targeted at an ethnic minority who take offence to it and have been subject to regular abuse over the years, deal with it properly?
Whilst I applaud your push for "equality", it's all about context, and deep down you probably know that. It's unlikely a Welshman is going to be the victim of a crime purely because he's Welsh, it's unlikely he'd have to face a campaign to "send him home" because he's Welsh and it's unlikely he'd be treated any differently (by the majority) because he's Welsh. That's why there's a difference in the reaction, and rightly so. Throughout the "Allams out" campaign there's been an ugly undercurrent of casual racism and I think this is it just rearing it's head, it's something I hear in the North every week (including one guy who's just realised Elmo's first name is Ahmed and finds it hilarious... dunno) and it's something that really needs to be stamped out of the club, city and society in general, though sadly it's becoming more prevalent in all three. The worst thing is, there's more than enough on the Allams that people really shouldn't have to go anywhere near the racism angle. You can pick apart the daft **** the Allams have said for days on end without even touching on their ethnic origin. Also on a final point, once again you have singlehandedly convinced me that I was right to not renew my HCST membership. As a representative of that group you should be NOWHERE NEAR condoning this sort of thing.
