And we sit next to bottom having let 4 goals in just 2 games and having 2 men sent off.

What does that tell you grayson lovers?

I will let you figure it out

Our wage bill isnt helped much by having passengers like Paynter, Grella, Bessone and O'Dea all sucking money out of the club and providing absolutely nothing. Get those off the payroll and we could afford two footballers

Biggest wage bills is utter bollocks, look at the size of our squad, we can hardly put a decent team together. IF we did have the biggest wage bill we have the largest gate and probably largest following so it should not matter. **** me please don't tell me the Bates lovers are going to accept the reason we sign barrel dreggs is because of the wage bill now sheesh

bull$hit, we have one of the lowest, thats why every agent advises their players not to sign for Leeds, coz they know they'll never get any good money. We're cheepskates, why do you think we let Johnson and Killkenny go, they and there agents wanted more money so we told them accept what you have or piss off, so they pissed off to clubs that were stupid enough to pay high wages for average players, were not. And since when is having a $hite ref Graysons fault. Thank god the majority of the crowd at ER don't think like you. Sack first think later.

Well hang on here we go you are the one not thinking here. Only won 8 in 24 games now since x-mas with Grayson in charge. Is that not his fault then? Or how's about making the one the worst back 4s in 50 years? Or how about spending good money on andy o'brien? Or how about loaning good players then never using them? You want me go on? None that grayson falt then is it?

Have we got proof for that 'one of the highest wage budgets' rubbish yet?

By the way, I'd point out that O'Brien was generally good last season. However he was sadly being made to be the senior partner in the defensive pairing when he's clearly the junior who needs a Kisnorbo next to him. It's hard to find a Kisnorbo (i.e. a leader centre-back) unless you have funds from the chairman. You know why? Because clubs want to keep hold of those players because they're useful and therefore valuable. If you can't buy leaders, you don't have a squad which is bound to win games. I don't blame Grayson for not bringing in expensive, handy players when his budget consists of the square root of **** all pounds sterling.

    You talk absolute nonsense.

Andy O'Brien is older than Kisnorbo and has spent most of his career in the Premier League.

Have we got proof that we don't? O'Brien must be on big big wages yet he looks like deadwood. Who fault is that?

And he was never good at all, he help it be second the worst back 4 in 50 years and Grayson signed him up on a 2 year deal.

Clivetime, that is the way most defensive partnerships work, regardless of age. One more powerful partner and one weaker one who sweeps up. Like a lesbian relationship, if you'll permit my analogy.

O'Brien did very well in his loan period and turned in solid 6/10 performances in the majority of games thereafter. But he did lack someone next to him like Naylor or Kisnorbo who'd throw themselves in the way of anything and everything and really do the glorious ****work. When Naylor returned at the back end of the season, we saw the defending improve dramatically, with the exception of Schmeichel... but he's a debate for another day!

And bluememe, you generally have the onus of proof on you when... y'know... it's you that makes the original assertion!

He played with Kisnorbo at southampton and they stuck 3 past us he all so played with each other against league 2 Bradford and they put 2 past us! So you are You talking nonsense. Will you not agree it was poor signing and waste of good money?

Bluememe is quoting Ken Bates. You're calling Bates a liar so the onus is on you to prove the lie.

We'd be better off with a couple of lesbians at the back.

O'Brien only looked good compared to Collins.

Were you unhappy with Grayson for not bringing Naylor back sooner then?

Only hearsay but I read somewhere O'Brien, Howson and Snodgrass are the three highest earners on 12k a week.

I would estimate that our wage bill is somewhere in the region of 10 million a year. The three biggest earners are taking 1.87 million a year out, let us say we have around another 15 players averaging 9k a week that takes their total to 7 million leaving a million for youth players etc....

Bates said himself that the break even point for home games was 22,000 we average 25,000 a game. 3,000 above the break even point for 23 home matches not including cup games which is extra at an average of £30 a ticket £30 x 3,000 x 23 = 2.7 million

This does not take into account extra program sales, food, drink and merchandise so I believe Leeds United is operating at around a £3 million a year profit minimum without transfers.

I think it's supposed to be about Bates' comments yesterday. He claimed we had one of the highest wage bills in the league.

How can a chelsea fan come out with such a comment when he watches a team that is bank rolled season after season! It's easy to come on other boards when following a team such as chelsea, man city and man u without getting a headache come 5 oclock on a saturday afternoon! Oh we got beat, but we will win the next 20 games with ashley cole who as it happens earns more than the playing and coaching staff put together!
