Despite this season being utter sh 1 te as far as the football goes I just hate these blank weekends when we have no game. Be it International breaks or FA Cup ( we did enter it this year didn't we?) Having these blank weekends does my head in, its not as if when we get back onto the pitch we manage to rustle up a result, can't remember the last time we won a game after a break. I hate football at times.
last time we won a game after a break Pisses me off when our manager says'' we have the break coming up to help us rest /recover/ get over injuries'' As you say, when last did the benefit of a break help us toward a win ? I think managers must forget that the opposition are usually getting the same time off.
Cracking thread title. Much better than going to watch 11 loons leg around like headless chickens and some boring jock **** looking like he's just been buggered by a frisky doberman.
It's only a wasted weekend if you invest good money and forlorn hope watching the inevitable. My weekends are getting better just recently. Not wasting time hoping beyond hope! My God that sounds depressing!
A long story short via my old man. In the olden days Kevin Arnott had just started out and towards the end of a tough season had developed blisters on his feet but we could not afford to leave him out. Hard grounds, loads of games and no time to treat them effectively. Even something as basic as that affects a player's game so a break comes in handy.
I just think its a football stress-free weekend but I'd never connected us not winning after a break - there again we don't often win . So maybe an unexpected 3pts against Boro' then 3pts against the Cherries -. We'll be on a roll for 3 pts against Tigers - or is that me having too many positive thoughts - probably .
Even if you somehow in your next 4 games, which you clearly will not. You'd still almost certainly be in the bottom 3 going into the last two games (best case scenario would be level with 17th) and your last two games are away to Arsenal and Chelsea. I've been genuinely expecting the usual Sunderland charge this season but Moyes doesn't seem to have it in him to get more out of the players. Though you have to question why the team leave it so late every year to start playing, ****ers. The Championship is a bit mental with scorelines which seem to come out of no-where but I've probably enjoyed this season more than most.
I can see the 2 top teams we play could be winnable - Chelsea game could be :JT's last premier ga m e in Chelsea shirt ; our last premier game (for too long I fear) ; or conclusion of another great escape. If it is I guarentee who'll be party poopers But in reality probs feeder league time and as you post its mental but enjoyable
Strangely got them till at least Tues but its a must win game for both teams Mind they go when I think of Moyes -........ back now thinking of Catts influence
