    For the future: Martin
For now: Seaborne all the way after today

Give Martin a game on Tuesday, play him every 2 or 3 games to bring him on, but Seaborne deserves to be first choice now.

Martin every day for me. He's got the complete package - Aerial dominence, pace, height (A LOT of it!) and he's also generally good on the ball... His left foot just needs a bit of work on. Experience is vital for a central defender but I've said it before and I'll say it again - I truly believe this lad has the potential to play for England one day... You cannot say that about Seaborne. So why not put a bit of faith in the fella and let him fulfill his unquestionable potential, he's only going to get better and better as the season progresses and he gets more minutes on the pitch.

Just a thought but do we still need a new CB. At first I was all for the idea of another CB but they really have come on this year and as long as they continue I am becoming more reluctant to get a new CB. What do people think??

Hard one between Martin and Seaborne. But the beauty is, we can mix it up until the new CB is inevitably brought in.

I don't think the loan market would be the place for a centre back, the loan market is 90% getting players experience, and we want a defender with experience?

I think so, yes. Seaborne and Martin seem to have come along enough that CB isn't going to be a major weakness, but a very good CB alongside Fonte would turn it into a definite strength. Still not certain that either of them are quite ready to play a major role on a team with promotion dreams, and if one gets injured and the other suffers a break in form, we're in trouble.
