Do you honestly think that NATO, the US, the UK and many other states don't test the Russians out? What use is Trident if we can't successfully fire nuclear missiles onto the Russian mainland, thinking that we can successfully do it simply means you believe that British submarines regularly test and probe Russian naval defences.

So no different to what the Russians regularly do then.
