Here's a better one from the Telegraph
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/pol...rbyn-and-John-McDonnells-close-IRA-links.html

    In particular:
    "
for seven years running, while the IRA “armed struggle” was at its height, Mr Corbyn attended and spoke at official republican commemorations to honour dead IRA terrorists, IRA “prisoners of war” and the active “soldiers of the IRA.”

The official programme for the 1988 event, held one week after the IRA murdered three British servicemen in the Netherlands, states that “force of arms is the only method capable of bringing about a free and united Socialist Ireland.” Mr Corbyn used the event to attack the Anglo-Irish Agreement, the precursor of the peace process. "

" in 2004 Mr McDonnell, now Labour’s shadow chancellor, was given a special award by Sinn Fein and another IRA-supporting body for the “unfailing political and personal support he has given to the republican community in the Six Counties over many years.”

I hate the ****, I think he deserves a proper stitching up and you can't trust the Express. And his puppet master.

Had a look and all I can find is newspaper articles attacking him. In one of them, he regretted calling Hamas & Hezbollah 'friends'. So he made a mistake. We all do. Big deal. On the surface of it, the IRA 'associations' seem to have been 30 years ago.

I can't understand why he evokes so much hatred from the press. Is it because he won't pander to them? Certainly a bit of a puzzler.

Just for the record, I have sympathies with the Palestinians myself. The behaviour of the Jews is absolutely shocking. The apartheid they practice has never been condemned by the outside world - yet they all pounced on S.Africa. They have also violated 28 United Nations Security Council resolutions. If you recall, Iraq was invaded on the basis of 1 violation. Tells a big story, and if you're aware of the Rothschilds' involvement in setting up Israel, a lot more things fall into place.

Why this fascination with battered mars bars (yuck)? Chinese restaurants have been deep frying banannas, apples & pineapples for donkeys years - then smothering them in hot syrup. And not a word .... <doh>

Generally speaking, the worthies tell us that it's not worth it, unless it's hugely damaging. Reason for that is that it takes a couple of years to go court, and even if you get some dosh, you get a one inch square apology in page 37, if you're lucky - and by this time, the issue's been forgotten by the public anyway, as the paper has targeted you with all sorts because you have the audacity to take them on.

I think his IRA support is harder to justify. Also his competence as a leader is seriously debatable, the lillian Greenwood letter to her constituents is an eye opener on how he operates

Very thorough article, & tbh, I got bored a bit through it. I must say though that you could write such a hatchet job on any prominent politician - either of the present or the past. Not one prominent politician has ever been squeaky clean.

Just to qualify btw, I have no interest in Corbyn, nor do I support him in any way.
