Typical Bates. Treats fans and their opinions with contempt. Bottom line is we support a team and have no interest in hospitality boxes or the like. This seasons team is not as good as last years through a mixture of letting contracts run down and rubbish signings. Thanks Batesy, but its time for you to move on with your outdated idead

The chairman is there to be criticised and the managers and players are there to be praised.

Whatever way you look at it, he has done a good job at leeds. leeds fans are just looking for someone to complain at

State one thing he has done whilst at Leeds, which no other business person would have done? He obtained the club by means which are being investigated and the rest is very basic business stuff. Don't spew your drivel about Leeds fans complaining, when you will struggle to state why he has done a good job, which had the ownership of the club been "legally" carried out, no other business would have done the same. Other parties (there were quite a few) were not the local lads some of the Bates fans suggest, there were others who expressed an interest and who didn't get the chance to present their offer (due to Bates and the previous owner). Now let's hear what you think he has done as a good job?

how about you state every single thing he has done wrong and i'll prove to you that he hasnt actually done anything wrong. Leeds are an expensive club to run. The fact is no one else has even tried to buy the club and especially when we were close to going out of business all together and not having a club at all. I think anyone that hates bates has a massively short memory, he implies good business skills to run the club regardless of what you say, the idiot before him was close to losin leeds united together.

By the way one good thing he has done is employ grayson as manager. Chairman arent there to pick up on what they have done well. they are there so that no one recognises what they do well and i know your gonna laugh at that statement but it is true. The fact of the matter is that the only reason leeds fans hate him is because he isnt pumping massive sums of money into the team that arent there. Remeber banks wont give us loans, the money just isnt there. I think its pretty pathetic to hate a chairman that 'doesnt spend money on the team' when last year it is a fact that we had the second highest wage bill in the league ad that comes from the league, and coming from bates mouth he estimates we have the 3rd or 4th biggest wage bill this year.

Josh,I wouldn't waste your time explaining mate,according to bfb when anyone says anyrhing positive about Bates its 'utter drivel' & yet negative comments printed in the left wing socialist gutter press is fact.

They also have a massive fan base and the largest gate receipts, we made a profit in Div 1 so we can't fail to in the Championship

Utter rubbish, we did go into receivership under bates, shareholders lost their money and a whole host of buyers came in but under some strange twist an unknown company brought us for LESS than the rest offered as long as Bates stayed on as chairman. Of course Bates doesn't know who it was, bullshit again.

Please show me the evidence to back up this second highest wage bill claim, and how would Bates know what other clubs wage bills are? Accounts for last year haven't even been lodged at Companies House yet. It could well be the truth however but until I see it on paper I believe we are being taken for a ride by the old basturd!

I distinctly remember seeing that we had the second highest wage bill and i will look for it later as i cant be bothered right now but i know for a fact that we did

when you have teams like huddersfield, who have a quater of our fan base, half our gate receipts and a season ticket that offers buy 2 seasons get the 3rd free and still are eligble to go out there and spend 1 mill on a quality player in ward!

Bates takes takes and takes.

I don't hate Bates for not spending money. I hate him for being an **** and treating people like scum. He has no interest in Leeds (if you spoke to him, off media, you would know that) and his business plans are so dated and totally without merit, it beggars belief. His moto, is ME ME ME, and all that he does is for his and his families long term benefit.
