Joel Matip hopeful of facing Crystal Palace
    Sam Williams

Joel Matip is hopeful of being fit to face Crystal Palace on Sunday despite the muscle injury he picked up against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

Matip sustained the problem during Liverpool’s 1-0 victory at The Hawthorns, with Jürgen Klopp revealing in today’s press conference at Melwood that the centre-back is doubtful for the meeting with the Eagles.

The boss did say, though, that it is ‘not 100 per cent that Joel cannot play’ - a message echoed by the defender himself later on Thursday.

“I’m hoping, but as the coach said I’m still struggling to be available for Sunday. I’m still fighting to get back,” Matip told Liverpoolfc.com.

“It’s a muscle problem, a muscle issue. But I will do my best to be available for the coach and for the team.

“During the game [against West Brom] I felt this and I had a few problems, but I could continue the game and that was the main thing

These injuries are a joke now. Mane, Lucas, Klavan, Matip, Lallana, Henderson.

And we've had Coutinho, Sturridge, Lovren out as well. Is this the worst injury hit season we've ever had?

If we finish fourth then Klopp deserves a key to the city.

Nah it's weak minded players. People forget how bad they were under Rogers the seaosn before he got sacked.

Losing 6-1 in Gerrards final match to Stoke FFS. Weak players.

7 of 18 left now by my reckoning that fits the normal definition of "most" .

Most should be 80/20 rule surely?

    7 out of 18 is about a 3rd?

Esp when i see 6 of them which is more than half a first team as now still being vital to us:)

Especoally when you add jimmys two faborite peopke clyne and milner to that...

That only leaves wijnaldum, mane and firmino as additions.

    Never.

Most would mean 2 or 3 left.

    This is ALL about semantics
