Jipjap Leeds IS the 3rd biggest city in England according to the stats, not sure why you would think Manchester is bigger? Because of its football club? Odd. Leeds is the 2nd biggest financial area in the UK.
Greater Manchester is composed of many different independent cities (Yonner ****ing furiously) such as Manchester, Salford and Oldham. Unless you count metropolitan areas as cities (and let's be honest, metropolitan areas aren't really easy to size up and categorize), London is the biggest, then Birmingham, then Leeds, then Glasgow. Stats can be used to prove anything. Manchester, whether you're British or foreign, is England's third city. In terms of international standing, many would say that Manchester is higher than Birmingham. Whereas Leeds wouldn't come anywhere near Oldham isn't a city mate. Salford yes, Oldham's just a town.
