Vardy is not that good to make such a comparison.
This season they will be better served by trying to argue Vardy vs Son.

Yeah, like we'd have gained a 13 point lead on Chelsea and not ****ed it up.

    Totally agree, mate.

Ah, that's a shame, mate. You had to spoil the vibe by dragging out this old red herring!

There's no pretence on my part, but I suspect that you already know that.

This wum is getting rather tired, now, though.

In the opinion of the PL stats.

However, I am being a bit harsh. There are still 6 PL games to go, so
Vardy will no doubt score at least 9 goals in those games to become yet
another English striker to have netted 20+ goals in consecutive PL seasons.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit <doh>
I've been complimentary of Kane but they have different styles and play in different sides. Kane has that record but he has none of the accolades Vardy has. He has age on his side fair enough. Vardy has shown he bangs them in on a weekly basis when the team is in form. As it happens Spurs has been in form throughout the whole season so Kane should get 20+. The fact Vardy could get close after the disaster of a season says enough. You think Kane would score all those goals in our side or Vardy wouldn't get 20+ in Spurs side?

You don't believe Vardy will hit the net for Leicester at least another
9 times this season ?? <oh ye of little faith>

"The fact Vardy could get close after the disaster of a season says enough."

It says he is worse than Jermain Defoe.

Defoe has been one of the top finishes of the generation. Despite Sunderland being crap, he's been consistent in himself but credit to him for bagging in that side still. Vardy along with the team has a **** time. I expect him to get between 15-20 but 20 isn't beyond him if he has a couple of worldie games (hat tricks etc).

Fact is, I've been very positive about both players and discussed their strong points as believe it or not, Vardy has attributes Kane could only dream of and accolades Kane will be looking to achieve himself.
On the other hand, a number of other fans seem keen to big up Kane and completely slate Vardy and undermine his achievements and ability. I wonder why that is....

...except that Vardy showed he is capable of scoring in the Champions League against the likes of Sevilla and Atletico ... Harry, Son and Janssen on the other hand couldn't even manage to get past Genk ffs <doh>

... not worth making comparisons there tbh ... only one winner ...<laugh>

I've always rated him tbf ... he was very good against (admittedly) our second string in the Cup replay last season - and I'm not wumming - his movement, pace and technique still came through as very good indeed <ok>..

I've forgotten more about football than you will ever know ... but then I go to the games you see rather than relying on highlights and the BBC's Daily Gossip which is all you really have to base your opinions on .... <doh>

Defoe is good, but never took it to the top level.
That is why he did not deliver enough at Spurs (even in an attack that included
    Modric and Bale) .

"Fact is, I've been very positive about both players and discussed their strong points as believe it or not, Vardy has attributes Kane could only dream of and accolades Kane will be looking to achieve himself."

The attributes a club like Spurs need from their strikers is to score 20+ PL goals
per season, UEFA tournament distractions or not, team playing meh or not.
Kane has fit the bill perfectly on that front three seasons running.

Really re Defoe? I thought he had a cracking scoring rate for you over both spells. Maybe not as many as I thought but tbh we were in the championship then so I wouldn't have paid attention.

Im genuinely not knocking Kane btw mate, I do rate him. You've hit the nail on the head saying it's what you need from him whereas it's the same for Vardy with us. The whole debate started saying if Vardy was 7 years younger and both were the same age. Tbf I think if he was, England would have two cracking forwards who might even compliment each other if not wind each other up posting pics of lions to one another!

  18. Defoe was an improved version of Darren Bent.

A superb finisher, but not really needed when we have a midfield packed with goal-scorers. Kane offers more than just goals, Defoe didn't.
