Match Day Thread Vs Crystal Palace (H)

I'm going to this one, taking mini luv for the first time.

I'd take Lala at his best over Hendo at his best.
I'd take Hendo at his worst over Lala at his worst though.

Lala can be amazing or tripe depending on what day it is. Hendo isn't as capable of the spectacular but he's rarely totally without merit.

 

Personally we really dont need either to start v palace. We need subs. So...... if we can get anyone back well and good.

Imo we played 343 almost yesterday.

Lucas just sat between the two cbs.

If we do the same next weekend thats fine by me... as long as it doesnt open us up to palace's wingers

 

Get the feeling Lucas will play so he can sit infront of Benteke and atop balls being played into his chest and force them to play football or if they do go long, just make Benteke flick it on rather than bring it down.

He did that well against WBA and is surprisingly decent in the air.

 

As long as he isnt moved about or is exposed by pace hes ok.

If we play a virtual 343 and clyne and milner can go a bit more perhaps palace will sit deeper.

The one thing i would say can showed no brains to stay put and hold whwn asked to but lucas knows how to.

 

We'll know who to blame now then...

 

Sam Allardyce or (big Sam) as people call him knows how to frustrate big clubs. Park the midfield, and on the counter lunch the ball forward to Benteke to head down. Also, he is going to wind Benteke up "they say you are not good enough for them , show them what you are capable of"

 

fixed.

 

We are winning without Mane, Henderson and Lallana very good.

 

Hopefully with only 5 games to go we can get 2 of them back on bench in case we need them. Any more injuries and we are boned

 

We're barely winning with ugly performances without Mane,Hendo, and Lala.

At the end of the day, only points count, but how long can our luck hold out?

 

Neither game recent was luck. It was two really poor sides.

We only paly bad sides from here....

 

We need to watch out for Zaha. The boy is tricky and quick.

 

And ****.

 

We do worse against bad sides.

 

Stoke and West Brom gave us a hard time, we need to give them credit. Saying that, we belittle our own team.

 

They had little real to offer however. That bit of quality to win the game was missing.

 

I don't think we were lucky against the Baggies. It was a dour game, but we deserved the win.
This is what I'd call winning ugly, some of those games earlier on that people described as such were actually dependent on a large slice of luck.
This time we limited them to one good chance, while we carved out four or five.

 

Yeah, but you play badly like that enough times and you will lose, or draw games. We need to win every game (or close to every game) remaining to keep top 4.
