Isn't the whole idea that GC is, bar illegal/not work safe material, an unmoderated forum where you can post what you like (which I agree with)? What would a mod do that is agreeable to the posters in this forum?
But it isn't, as shown by the recent tags/rep removal Now, it is Mick's site and he can do whatever he wants, however it is due to GC posters that those functions have been removed (and by someone who they have known for a long period of time), which is in total contradiction of GC having very little moderation So what is to be achieved by having a moderator who can do little to make them happy?
Venom is an established member who knows what is and isn't acceptable on gc. He has sufficient integrity to delete posts which need deleted and has the sense of humour required to deal with the **** which will be directed his way by the perma offended.
Kim Jong The perma offended would just bypass him and contact Syd/Mick (as recently shown) I don't see how a mod approved by the edgy posters would work well with the family friendly approach currently favoured
Because we need a mod who will tell the perma offended to **** off when its required. I think venom can do that and make it funny too.
