I just want the right purchaser as it seems we must have one. I trust Katharina to do the best for us (whilst also accepting that she is looking for a decent price).
If the Chinese will not be able to invest then I will be surprised if she doesn't retain an interest in the club (financial interest, not just wondering which Centre back partnership will start)
The primary reason Lander wasn't buying the entirety (or all but a small stake) appears to have owed more to finances than anything. If a takeover presents, we will be taken over.
I'm going to choose not to believe you. Not because I think you're wrong, but because it keeps me happier I shouldn't have said anything and shall return to my state of blissful ignorance
http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/15228885.COMMENT__Saints__prudence_can_pay_off/?ref=mac The Echo suggesting that the Lander deal had gone cold a while ago. The message from Katharina at the time of the Chinese stock exchange announcement suggested it wasn't as advanced as some would think....she didn't seem very pleased about it at the time. She may yet sell it lock, stock and barrel, but seems keen to hold onto part of it in order to keep us on course (as viewed by present management)....that may limit the possible purchasers.
"In the meantime Saints have to continue doing as they are, and that is living within their means. Being ambitious, making progress, but always with an eye on doing that in a prudent and responsible fashion." Blissful knowledge
I guess I was being a bit obtuse, expecting any news from the Club is not something that you can expect these days, but it would be nice to be kept in the frame on what is going on, it also helps when defending the Board from the hoard.
Unusually, Katharina did comment when their interest became public and she said it was a long way off from fait accompli. As Cortese was fond of saying, it would take up all his time if he replied to every rumours. We'll hear when something happens....but not when it doesn't.
so they release a story that they aren't interested when really they still are and visa versa. Its a Chinese whisper technique I'd say classic chinese this
