    <laugh> bring it on.

You need to post proof of your 2004 San Francisco marathon medal with something in the picture that makes it clear that it's yours and not something you've stolen from google.

    What's keeping you ?

  4. I will post a photo of all of my 2004 medals, together with one of my guitars, and a personalised note.

There will be no doubting that the photo is genuine, and that it is mine.

Are you man enough to apologise?

    All in good time, Pixie.

I am busy with my work, at the moment. I need to tracks down where my missus has put the medals, but I will have a look for them this evening.

This will be a moment to savour. I certainly do not want to rush it, mate.

All it needs is your photo of your 2004 San Francisco marathon medal (with proof it's yours) as that's the one I'm calling bullshit on.

I've already posted the link to the results of that marathon that had nobody called Tyler running in it. So you're either bullshitting about being called Tyler, or running in the 2004 SF marathon, I suspect it's both. :)

    http://www.marathonguide.com/results/search.cfm
We're Sorry, there were no results found for the name "tyler" in the 2004 marathon results

  6. I'm going to snap all three together. That way, it's going to be impossible for you to wriggle out of admitting that you completely ****ed this up, and were wrong to attempt to call me on it.

Don't give a **** about your Isle of Wight marathon, I'm calling bullshit on your claim that you ran the 2004 San Francisco marathon.

Just post up the pic of that medal and be done with it <ok>

  8. Why not?

The Isle of Wight Marathon is a far harder event than the San Fran Marathon. Claiming to have run that is a bigger claim than running practically any other marathon across the Globe (apart from other Iron Man events).

I suggest that the reason you don't want me to post the San Fran medal with my other medals is because you know, only too well, that it greatly reduces the likelihood that I have photoshopped the photo.

No. You are going to get my San Fran medal, plus a whole load of other goodies, that will give you zero wriggle-room.

Get ready to eat a fat slice of humble-pie!

Because I'm only calling bullshit on your San Francisco marathon claim.

Hurry up and post the pic lad <ok>

  10. So, let me get this straight.

You are prepared to believe that I ran the Isle of Wight Marathon and the Hastings Half-Marathon (twice), both of which events are harder than the San Fran Marathon, but you are not prepared to believe me when I tell you that I ran the San Fran Marathon.

    Is that correct?

I can't disprove that you ran the other marathons. But I have shown evidence that nobody called Tyler ran in the 2004 SF marathon.

You're either bullshitting about being called Tyler or running the 2004 marathon, or both

    Or possibly all of it.

Hurry up and post your 2004 SF marathon medal with proof that it's yours. <ok>

  12. ...which is why I am going to photograph all my medals in the one photo (together with identifying evidence), so that you are afforded zero wriggle-room on any of it.

Do you want cream or custard with your humble-pie?

Conquering The Race Even Marathoners Fear
Did you know, the event that the Wall Street Journal dubs “the race even marathoners fear” is hosted exactly 13.6 miles away from Berkeley? Well it is—and that event is called The San Francisco Marathon.

  14. I daresay that you'd find it impossible, Buzzy.

However, compared with the Isle of Wight Marathon it is a breeze. The year I entered it, there were less than 200 competitors, compared with 35,000 that took part in the San Fran Marathon.

There is a reason why so few people take part in the Isle of Wight Marathon. You have to be tough, not a pussy, mate. San Fran has isotopic drink-stations every two miles. I never hit the wall, not even once, unlike during the Isle of Wight event, when I hit the wall at 18 and 22 miles respectively.

On the other hand the IOW marathon

    • Well-organised, friendly event. Easy to park at the race HQ (IOW Community Club)
    • Plenty of Marshals who guided and encouraged us. Many supporters waving and cheering. Water and sponges provided about every 3 miles.
    • Not crowded. About 150 runners.
    • Mostly quiet roads. Undulating, not too hilly overall.
    • Pleasant scenery. Lovely sea views especially near Yarmouth.
    Bad Points:
    • Traffic and fumes in a few places.

What the **** do you know about it?

San Fran was mainly flat as a pan-cake, with isotopic drink stations every 2 miles. It was a piece of piss (for an experienced runner like me).

The IOW undulated throughout its entire length, and had only two isotopic drink stations over the 26 miles. After coming off a bend into the last 2 or 3 miles, one is confronted with a hill that stretches out as far as the eye can see. It is brutal.

They'd have to bury you on that course, Buzzy. You wouldn't make it.

  19. As the only person on this board (and probably this entire site) to have run both Marathons, I can tell you, for a fact, that the San Fran Marathon is a piece of cake compared with the IOW Marathon.

What Yanks consider to be "difficult" and what is, in fact, difficult are two very different things.
