He's probably writing a letter to the council complaining about the road surface and sewing (yes, really!) the council for everything they have...

If someone's driving right up your behind, gently touching the brake peddle with your left foot does the trick!

My neighbour worries me. He is 87 and mostly has his girlfriend (in her 60s) to drive him. Twice a week the National Society for the Blind (no joke) pick him up for an 'outing'. He still occasionally drives. I should report it, but tell him first (to give him a chance to stop) as he will kill someone.

This is an example of why old people need to be retrained. 40 years ago we were taught to slow down using the gears because our cars had crap drum brakes and if you used them too much they would over heat and become ineffective. Not so now. If you slam your car into a lower gear to slow down without any sign to the car behind expect to get shunted. You'll probably be legally in the clear but you would have caused the accident!

Kraft broke that promise within a year. Cadburys has since been sold on. Kraft were just bringing down a rival**. Should never have been sold.

**We know the form. Liverpool buys Saints player. Not only to have the player and strengthen themselves but to weaken a potential rival.

Broadchurch finished. Tennant and Coleman are a great partnership...would have liked to see them more.

I too agree with the young driver bit. Very raw here at the moment. Last week my wife's cousin was killed in a car crash in Florida, having been hit when a 16 (SIXTEEN) year old jumped a set of lights, way over the speed limit and hit him into the oncoming traffic. He didn't have a chance and now his wife and three children have to try and get on with their lives. No words can express what this has done.

Why do you do this Badger? I was taught on an advanced driving course to use my brakes and not my gears to slow. "Gears to go, brakes to slow" was what they said.

I also think (on a minute scale) that you should use your brakes. After all, the brake lights are part of the safety aspects of a car.

Thanks Chilcs. Wife and father in law are having it tough. Close knit family, even if they're the only ones over here.

Not as good as the previous series, and was weird having the two plotlines running at the same time. Still, enjoyable and those two make a good pair.

Mondelez is just a re-branding of Kraft for snack foods. They bought Cadbury for profit potential as well
Underexploited brand, cost base ripe for reduction, restructuring possibilities ...
Hence Dairy Milk everything, reduced quality and they don't pay any UK Corporation Tax
    I don't buy Cadbury's any more

Is this Cadbury's Creme Eggs we're talking?

    It was.

Mondelez is the company. Doesn't surprise me that it is just a Kraft re-brand. Seems like the sort of thing Kraft would do.

And I've never bought their crappy cheese slices either. **** company producing **** product.

I was talking about ordinary Easter eggs....the chocolate actually bends when you try and break it as if it has been kept somewhere warm....no proper Easter egg does that. And it definitely doesn't taste of Dairy Milk....even though it said in the ingredients that it was made with DM chocolate. I checked because it so obviously wasn't. All 3 eggs were gifts.....from people who know that the only chocolate I like (correct: liked) was Cadburys. Americans know nothing about chocolate or they wouldn't eat Hersheys.:mad:

I recommend Lindt Easter Bunnies European and unbendable

Always remember going to US in 70s and trying a famous Hershey's Bar. Horrible! Don't know what's it's made of but it ain't chocolate

I still haven't seen this but it is on my incredibly long "to watch" list. Might bump it up a bit now :)

I binge-watched SS-GB over the weekend and thought it was very good. The main character's voice took a while to get used to and was probably the reason for the complaints about mumbling/sound etc but once my ear was "in" to his tone and timbre I didn't have any problems. Lots of complaints that it's nothing like the book but as I hadn't read the book I didn't care... Certainly left things open for a second series which I'd definitely watch. Chilling and very thought-provoking.
