We are ****ed. Plain and simple. We have stuttered for most of the season. I'd be betting all three NE teams are playing Championship football next season.
If Huddersfield see this out and win that game in hand. They are 2 pts behind the mags with 3 games to go. We shouldn't be surprised and the mag numptys should have known to bide their time over here. They are the biggest bottlers in English football and their trophy cabinet is testament to that. Threw away a 12pt lead ****ed up 2 cup finals in a row Head to Head with rivals for relegation and lost. Now making a pigs ear out of promotion. I genuinely think you are relying on Huddersfield ****ing things up. I think you have averaged a point over the last 9 games now? You're limping towards that line mate and it's going to be close.
Dunno mate. Huddersfield have stuttered along too, in fairness, but we look horrendous. I am not surprised. The squad of players we have is hardly inspiring. Norwich (a team of better players than ours) is languishing way below us! The league is a piss easy league. Us not doing as well as many thought doesn't change that. We just add to the dross.
They haven't been amazing however out of the 2 of us, they are more likely to kick on. We won't win the Play Offs if we enter it.
I'm as pessimistic as any North East football fan mate and I think Huddersfield have played fantastic but they lacked the cutting edge up front at vital stages and their wobble a short while ago has stopped them going up automatically and I actually fear for them in the playoffs for the same reason. You guys will take our place in the premiership and although in general you have underperformed promotion is promotion!
