I reckon all of our crossed corners in a season equals around 2 goals to us and 3 breakaway goals to the opposition. But also, I am a troll.
yesterday was disappointing in that we were too cautious and didn't in any way take the game to city; we allowed them to control the game and ultimatelyĺ look very good - even though there are of course very good we did nothing to try and disrupt it. Probably my biggest concern on puel is his cautious approach in certain games which normally kills us especially in europe. Yet in other games we really go at it. However on balance he is doing alright for me and I certainly want to see what he can do with us next season (pending avoiding a self implosion like last summer). On balance Puel seems ok to me so far Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
And against QPR (first year back in the PL?). It seems a requirement of our short corners that only Morgan can score.
He made plenty of decent runs, but our players either didn't have the time on the ball or vision to spot them. Impressed with De Bruyne & Sane's work rate throughout. Of course it should be expected of any professional, but many of City's recent visits have lacked that intensity. shame about the result, but if we beat these money clubs every time it wouldn't mean anything
Had Tadic showed a little more composure & Forster palmed/punched/touched their first goal away, it would have been nice to see City working so hard with a little panic in their eyes, but alas it wasn't to be. Really looking forward to the Chelsea game now, but also not wishing my week away.
Just remembered that as I was watching the game I thought, "there won't be many teams who have more possession than us at St Marys". They were a class act. We might win sometimes but on average, with the squad they have, we must expect to lose more often than win.
Did anyone have BT Sport on for Saints/Man City. I was appalled at the commentary. Turned the whole thing off at 0-0 and went out.
It was painful to listen to, Kompany committed a foul and Steve said "great tackle never a foul" then Jack committed a similar foul shortly after and it was "cynical and should be yellow"
