Emre yet again bossed the midfield. Definitely come on the last two months or so, maybe what they were saying about him playing with an injury was affecting him more than we thought.
It's not like he hit it from 70 yards out ffs. He was 35 yards from goal central with clear sight. He had to shoot, he just hit it terribly badly. Shouldn't be blaming him for shooting there. Mignolet is earning himself every chance to keep that slot. How we defended today is how we should in most games and when breached the keeper comes through. We dealt with everything they threw at us. Hats off to Lucas that screen helped us big time

Defence did what it had to, but WBA are hardly the best at testing a defence, except from set pieces. Still happy we won and even happier I found a local Sainsburys open today to top up the beer supplies for the Utd game.

How bad is Gini at clearing the all btw? One in first half header that he jumped way too early and headed it no where, then in 2nd half had chance to whack it clear in last few mins he missed it. Add that hat to the effort against Stoke!
