Listening to the Borini interview Sundrrland players are all over the place now. Not together as in previous survival seasons.
Just back form the game and my two penneth for what its worth is this... Big Up again to TT by the way. Jees it was cold.... support excellent the wind ultimately was a factor. I'm a huge MS fan, but believe he got it wrong today. Harry is not and never will be a right back even though he still had a great game. Michael Dawson IMO disrupted the balance of the team, at fault for the first and misplaced many passes. Shouldn't have played. I thought taking Thud off was a mistake, he showed no signs of rustiness and I have to presume he hasn't been on holiday for 3 weeks, so tired is no excuse. I thought MS was too slow to respond to Hughes's change in personnel, at that point Elmo should have come on pushed Harry more central and sacrificed someone in midfield, not Huddlestone. Lastly, Groswicki, when he should shoot he passes, when he should pass he shoots and at fault for just appealing for a handball and not chasing back when they broke for the second. Oh and double lastly, 3 brilliant goals I'm afraid to say, why is it everyone cranks it up a notch when they play us... Leicester et al.
Sounds like we were unlucky today. Getting a lot of praise for the way we played in the first half. Had most of the ball possession, a lot of shots on goal and from what I gather the 3 Stoke goals were quality. It certainly looks like we're playing like a team who "should" stay up. But we really need to put it to bed soon. Next week if we can beat Watford and Swansea lose... that should be it for us... maybe just 1 more win after that against Sunderland and we'll be alright.
There once was a boring old fart called Ernie, Who went on a bit of a journey, The Antarctic was cold, And he wasn't very bold, So he went to LA and became an attorney
What if North Korea drop a nuclear bomb on the Liberty stadium? Okay, probably the least likely scenario, but you never know!
Seen on Facebook that one of the Acklams coaches had to be abandoned after an onboard fire on the way home? Anybody know anything? Hope those on board were alright.
I got back around hour ago and ive got to completely agree with this, at times we played good football and for a neutral it was a good game to watch with plenty of chances, unfortunately we didn't take ours. At 1.1 we were the better team and I thought we had a great chance of winning but instead they score two more brilliant goals instead. If I'm honest cant see us getting anything in our last two away games simply because we let to many goals in but obviously hope I'm totally wrong. Regarding the run in its to close for comfort but all we can do is get down to the kcom next week and back the lads. We need to put more pressure on Swansea not give them hope.
I didn't go but on paper as soon as I saw the team I agree. He fell into the trap of round pegs and square holes - you restore the Harry and Andrea partnership, drop Dawson and play Elmo.
In a game of expectations I'm surprised how many thought we could win at Stoke. We would have done well to get a point. It's our home games against near rivals that matter most.
In fairness, Stoke had just lost 4 on the bounce before this and we completely outplayed them for large parts of the game. It was very winnable.
