Are you suggesting a Welsh manager will help the Welsh club stay up? <whistle>

We'll be dead and buried long before then at this rate unless something miraculous happens.

Not entirely. Boro are 6 points behind with 2 games in hand and a better GD.

I know they are no mugs, but we had enough chances to get something out of this game. I fear just relying on our home form might just not be enough. I hope I am wrong.

Swansea with West Ham worst sides we've played this season.
If we beat Watford & Sunderland you would need to win 3/5
Will you I think it's very unlikely

Merson and Stelling full of praise for us. 14 shots on goal and really good football (after 1-0). Merson thinks if we carry on playing like that, we should be alright.

Apparently Swansea offered very little, we might have to stay up on home form alone

Supposing the only points we get between now and the end of the season are from two home wins against Watford and Sunderland; that would leave us on 36 points, meaning that for Swansea to finish above us they will have to take at least 8 points (possibly 9 if we end up with a better goal difference) from their last 5 games - a run that includes fixtures against Manchester Utd and Everton. Today was a disappointment but I remain optimistic.

Did Merson have a bowl of humble pie in front of him?

We can play good football until the cows come home, and journos can say what they like...
But we have to win games.

I can see Sunderland beating us and Watford isn't a gimme.

The start though we could have been down 3-0, don't know why the defence was so badly organised. And I don't think it can just be blamed on one player, the defence and those who are meant to be back to help out are meant to work together. And it was a spell where it was all over the place, and this is far from the first time we've seen that.

Having watched us at home under Silva what makes you think a relegated side in Sunderland will beat us?

I thought we were v good at points and didn't deserve to lose 3-1, but Stoke pretty much picked us off.
    - Harry and Rannochia have to be the pairing at CB
    - Clucas was crap 1st half and was playing Evandro's position

Maguire just walked past my car looking mightily pissed off

    - I would have left Hudd on
    - Hernandez needs more than 20 mins and has to start with Niasse, absolute madness
    - ditch the away kit
    - Attwell's a tit

Array was clueless at right back in the first half he kept getting dragged across into the middle and leaving the his position uncovered and Daws kept passing to Stoke - awful start

Thats exactly my point,we didn't take them and rarely do away from home which is why we lost basically.
