I taught my self to touch-type with an old-style electric typewriter, during one Summer holiday, during my University years. It's a great skill to have, and has served me well over the years, especially when drafting long reports and complex documents.

I borrowed a book on "The Pitman Method" from a local library, and assiduously applied myself to memorising the key-patterns, and practising the exercises over and over again, until it got to the point where I no longer had to watch my hands. For a skilled semi-pro guitarist, this wasn't particularly difficult, Pix.
