Morning all from an overcast island. Once again we've had rain overnight as we have every night for the past couple of weeks but it has been dry during the day. Yesterday, it looked like it was going to rain but it didn't - not sure we'll be so lucky today.
Any broadband-savvy experts here who can solve a puzzle for me? I switched broadband providers yesterday from EE to Sky and, as advised, waited until I no longer had EE access before changing router etc. This morning I remembered that I have a tv in the bedroom that works only off a Fire TV stick, so went to change the connection from EE to Sky - only to find that EE was still working. I then checked every other device and found the same - even though yesterday they weren't working as there was no EE. How on earth is that possible?
Hi all, Off to the coast last minute today for a week or so. If someone cold do the match thread, I´d be greatful. Have a tiptop Easter all.
I think it might be that it takes a while for the changeover to happen in the system.. Might be worthy a phone call..
Read that in the Wigan v Barnsley game tonight it was "A forgettable half that started off badly and got worse" I cannot think that I have ever been to Wigan to watch football, or for any other reason. No doubt someone will tell me what I have been missing.
A bit of a turnaround for Wigan in the second half though - at 0-2 down they brought on a sub striker. 16 minutes later he had his hat trick & put them 3-2 up.
Talking to my next door neighbour again today; and very pleased with what he told me. He currently has his house here, but also one in Florida. A year ago he was undecided which of the two he should live in full time, and which he would would sell as he didn't need two. He was in the USA throughout March and has come to the conclusion that he doesn't like the way the country is going, so he plans to sell up there rather than here. He tells me that many of the Americans who also own property there are finding that they cannot pay anymore for the maintenance contract for grass cutting and looking after the six swimming pools since a sudden hike in prices. Prices there for property have risen about 50% in twelve months, but the feeling is that because of the numbers having to sell, that will go back to the original prices very quickly. Many people from Canada would rent houses for several months to get away from the winter up north, but since Trump appeared the numbers have become a trickle. Anyway I will be pleased that he is staying as he is a very good neighbour.
Another beautiful morning here, but I see that there has been a huge storm in New Zealand just to add to the woes there. Hope all is well with NZ.
Why has this disgrace only been suspended and not fired with immediate effect? http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/39603942
Morning, dave; morning, all. New job is allowing me to have more time with my family and strangely that means I seem to be spending less with you. Matej was saying, Dave, it's not much more than a year ago that you beat ManUre at Old Trafford. I haven't seen much of you this season - Matej has, he watches all leagues avidly - but I did think you had 'bouncebackability'.
Because that rag is hate-filled, as is MacKenzie, and his actions led to it being as despised as it is on Merseyside. They (The Sun and MacKenzie) hugely resent their actions against Liverpool fans years ago were found out.
Morning all, I have lost my sunshine this morning, so it doesn't feel quite as warm outside. Lots to do today, and with luck I should manage to fit a football match into the events.
On paper, we and Toon should have walked this league but too many of our top earners seem to be under the impression that they just have to turn up to collect three easy points. Hopefully our new sporting director will sort this mess out and bring some of our promising youth through!
