At one point did we say that yes Barton was right to pull Gervinho up like that? Most of us are saying he's an idiot for doing so and shouldn't have done it, for christ sake. You have no argument. We all agree. Song should have gotten sent out, Gervinho was right for getting sent off, Barton should have received more than a yellow and definitely overreacted and shouldn't have gotten involved.

Im happy Obertan has done something to silence his doubters. For now at least. Was a good debut, cant wait to see what all his got in his bag. £3 Million...could very well the bargain of the season.

You can tell he's not completely match fit with a few concentration errors but once he overcomes that he's going to be a beast! He had some excellent movement and runs past people for fun! Also did well to set Cabaye up.

Gervinho dived earlier in the game too He went down EXTREMELY easy. Gervinho started to fall then HIS foot clipped our player. Gervinho made contract first. It wasn't a foul, Gervinho went down too easily. Look at the replays.

Lots of teams' fans hate Barton, you just need to see past the biased hatred before replying about him

 

So does Gervinho. When we linked with him last year I tried to watch him play for Lille but he was always suspended. Arsenal are so hypocritical when it comes to discipline, always whinge about everyone else despite having dirty ****ers like Keown, Vieira and Wilshere in their teams.

 

Yeah, fitness added with a bit more confidence, he will be a fantastic player! Very pleased with todays match overrall. Very annoyed with Barton, totally out of order. Lucky to be on the pitch imo. But saying that Gervinho deserved his sending off.

 

After seeing the replays I know Barton should not of gone over but I think his pulling Gervinho up looked more aggressive than it actually was, it looked like Barton was pulling him up a bit and then Gervinho leaped up which made it look more violent that I think it actually was. That said Barton still should of not gone near him although I can understand why he was pumped.

what a start to the season:s rubish match good result cabaye and obertan both looked mighty im just worried about ba why was he taken off instead of shola (who fell over more times than a pissed emile heskey) was he injured or are we to conclude he is our 1st choice striker:s i hope not because from what i saw we looked like stoke today with ameobi up top...

I'm still recovering from Saylor being INCHES away from connecting with Colo's cross. Far post, nudge with the head and it would've been the ball in the net and 135 quid in my empty pocket

 

Cabaye looked more lively in the second half, but in the first his movement was excellent, he stuck to his man a lot, maybe should push forwards more though because he makes some excellent runs.
