  1. Hope he takes Richardson and Reo-Coker with him - good replacements for Sanchez and Ozil <laugh>

The Telegraph have done an in-depth analysis of why success rates are up on shot on goal from 11.6% in 2006/7 to 15.1% this season. Shots saved are down from 72.5% to 67.6%.

Could it be that forwards are all getting better or keepers are getting worse? The possibility of bigger forwards or an improvement based upon levels set by Messi and Ronaldo?

It couldn't be that the ball has been changed to one that moves around in the air like a leaf in the wind? How do these people get these jobs?

I say it's because failure rates are down from 88.4% to 84.9%.

For everyone that wants to see the original again:

Great effort after missing out so narrowly last season and having to go into the playoffs (against a team who finished 15 points behind them).
Hardly out of the top two for two seasons.
They will need to strengthen a lot for the PL. Knockaert, Murray, Baldock etc are guaranteed performers at this level, but unlikely to be as effective in the PL.

Over the moon for Hughton, but like you say, some serious investment will be needed.
Newcastle have a great manager and the financial clout to do ok next season, but it'll be a tough campaign for Brighton. Will there be 3 teams more likely to get relegated than them?

Could this be the season when Leeds make it back into the PL?

It could be us against that lot at Wembley. Somehow, that's so much worse than at WHL. It's probably that there will be so many more of them. I don't like Leeds fans. The northern Chelsea.

Leeds also have a player called Jansson. He's looked decent this evening, but like our namesake, he's not bagged many goals this season.
Still, he's got more than Vincent.
    3x as many, in fact.
    And he's a ****ing centre back. <laugh>

If only there was some PL club who would be prepared to loan players
