    But tradition dictates you will have to play your seldom-used 3rd choice GK. :)

    There'd be a beautiful irony if we rocked up at the Emirates on the last day and saw Arsene off with a defeat, as he's handed us our arses on multiple occasions down there during his tenure.

    Given Robles' form, that might not be a bad idea.
    Maybe just stick Stekelenburg back in though, as I've no idea who Everton's third choice is, rather unsurprisingly.

    Apart from the game at the pit, he's been quite good since the turn of the year in fairness.

    You see more of him than I do Tobes, so you probably know better, but I don't think that he's at the level that you want to be at.
    He doesn't fill me with any confidence and I think you can get someone that's significantly better.
    Picking up Pickford from Sunderland, for example, could see you set there for some time.

    Don't get me wrong we need an upgrade if we're serious about challenging the top 4, but he's improved a lot this season in fairness to him.

  11. Arsenal are in talks with Juventus boss Max Allegri as uncertainty over Arsene Wenger's future drags on. (Sun)

    But Wenger has told people behind the scenes at the club that it is his intention to stay for another two seasons. (Daily Mirror)

    This isn't really helping matters, is it?

    I think it's going to take a U.N. resolution and an armed invasion by Allied forces to get Wenger out of the Emirates. I hate the middle east!

  13. Agreed, Trebs.
    <ok>

    It's clear he's stalling in order to find the most convenient time to announce the fact that he's staying.

    I had to laugh at Claude during one of his rants where he said 'We're going to be carrying him out in a ****ing coffin'

  18. Arsenal have offered Sanchez a new deal which could make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League. (London Evening Standard)

    It is going to be so embarrassing for Wenger and the Goonies when Sanchez rejects that offer!
    <laugh>

    I can see the contract talks now...

    Wenger: "Please, you must sign zis contract, Sanchy. I beg you on my bended knee!"
    Sanchez: "I told you before, Mr Wenger... This is **** football club and you are **** manager!"
    Wenger: "Please, I beg you! You are ze only good player we haff! You leave and I am ****ed!"
    Sanchez: "You were ****ed long time ago, Mr Wenger! I kick myself every day I not see this!"
    Wenger: "Please, Sanchy! Look! I give you £300,000 every week, and you don't even haff to score goals! Popeye is only on half zat much, and he does **** all, too!"
    Sanchez: "I already tell you, stick contract up your ass, Mr Wenger! I can get same money from City and have manager who know the **** what he do!"

  19. Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright says he would love to go back and help his old club - but thinks manager Arsene Wenger would not have him. (Sun)

    I suspect that most Gooners would love to see Wrighty back at Arsenal, in some kind of coaching capacity, but you just know it will never happen whilst Wenger is at the club.

    And therein lies the problem with Wenger. The man is a megalomaniac. He listens only to himself, and sees only what he wants to see. We all used to laugh about it, but I think we all, now, know that it is a symptom of some deep-seated mental problem.
