Just started Logan, I'm 15 mins in and wow what a good film. I expected another superhero nonsense bang average film. Hope it doesn't get bad but just the whole feel of it is right.

Loved Logan, at long last a film that fits the character. Credit to Jackman he's always given his all to the character but never quite done it justice until now. Best X-Men film by a mile and hopefully an introduction to The New Mutants which is mentioned in the film. Patrick Stewart is also superb as an aging Xavier. It's such a pity that it's been a patchy group of films, could have been a great story if they had got it right from the start.

If it is to go on from here bring in Cable as the mentor and develop the story from The New Mutants into X-Force.

It does fit the character better.

His limp was unconvincing and i found the constant stabbing in the head a bit boring.

I wish patrick stewart had shat himself at least once in the film just for the laugh and the two lads argue about who is changing his nappy. But thats just a joje i thoight they coyld insert

I did think unfortunately the villian was weak. But yes i thought it was far better than any recent xmen offering.

Deffo its more graphic and aligns with the brief wolverine cameo in apocalypse rather than other movies.

I thought the bad guys were intentionally weak so as to concentrate on the main characters, The Reavers were always given a spanking in the comics.
As always they could improve but as far as comic book adaptations go this was done very well.

I suppose but a movie needs a good villian.

The issue is really how the various movies tie together. And the bad guys he faces really. They mix and match and then dont fit but the biggest inconsistency for me is mystique

I'm very much taking that film as a one off, I don't rate the others (Wolverine films that is).
I've liked some X-Men films and haven't liked others but none have been brilliant.

    Top 5 Super Films fellas?

    1. Bale Batman trilogy (they have to come together IMO any one without the others is pointless)
    2. Watchmen
    3. Logan
    4. Blade 2
    5. Deadpool

    superhero movies?

    1. don't agree with you that batman is a triology. The dark knight stands head and shoulders above the others. (also if you take that line with logan that it stands alone...) It would be my no 1.

    2. I would say avengers assemble is probably up there. not so much age of ultron so one avengers movie needs to be in there

    3. Deadpool for the comedy aspect yes must be in there

    4. For me no xmen movie shoudl be in there but as a solo run wolverine and logan are two better movies.

    5. Iron man no 1 should probably be in there, if nothing else it launched marvel to the stratosphere imo. but also downey jnr smart arss was new and good.

    6. I would personally give another special award to Gaurdians of the galaxy

for the the common theme here. Ther eis one or two "serious" movies but the rest are for me can you laugh?

Guardians and deadpool are very much trying to make the audience laugh. and orion man is sort of the same.

    ................................

the worst super hero movies is easier.

    1. bat man v superman

    2. daredevil

    3. green lantern

    4. green hornet (awful)

    5. Batman with george clooney

    6. steel

    7. most sequels to superman 1. all new supermans and prob superman 3 and 4 in the olden days

    8. ghost rider
