Hull CC News @Hullccnews Easter opening: @Hull_Museums & @HullFerens will be closed on Good Friday. Open as normal from Sat 10am-5pm, Sun 11am-4.30pm & Mon 10am-5pm. Seems very odd to close for Good Friday, isn't Easter weekend a time we'll be expecting loads of extra visitors?
There are still some regulations in place regarding working on certain religious holidays if you are employed in the pubsec as far as I know which means it is hard to come to any arrangements.
Terrible flyer this, but there's a classic car show on at the Streetlfe Museum on Monday... please log in to view this image
Missed opportunity Many will have families up for the weekend, we certainly have, and so would take the chance to show (off) the culture As it happens they visit regularly so have seen most of it, but we still might have popped in some as we'll be going in for the poppies anyway
Correct. Probably could if they didn't fork out 10s of thousands on people taking the piss on sick k pay.
I saw what you responded to Seemed odd though The decision to not open will have bugger all to do with sick levels
Should I presume you are offended that someone infers that the sick levels at the council are high? Today is be offended day.
Not really. I'm just interested whether he can stand up the suggestion he made. A point of discussion.
Yes I know people that work and have work there. Don't be naive enough to think that people don't abuse the fact that you can stay off for 6 months on full pay.
You have to be unwell to get that benefit though, surely? Or do you have some evidence that this isn't the case?
Dont be so bloody naive. My brothers friend used to go on sick for weeks ( on pay ) and go doing guv vies all over the place. That is 100% fact
