Well, people near me in West Upper couldn't hear what was being sung clearly so it wasn't that audible. A bloke near me said they should be sing that to Brighton as he thought they were singing bummers not bombers. Most of the North East corner and the rest singing? You couldn't get that many singing City songs most of the time.
I don't have a problem with gays. No wonder the atmosphere at the KC is so crap with mirthless folk like you in it. As time goes by football grounds will be wholly inhabited by people like yourself in them and football will be devoid of atmosphere and wither away.
I didn't think it was disgusting in the slightest and it's no different in my eyes to opposition fans signing about Hull being a ****hole. Why is Hull perceived as a ****hole? Cos it was bombed to **** in the war as the Luftwaffe dropped their remaining loads before heading back to the Fatherland. So essentially, the fans are mocking the plight and turmoil that Hull people suffered during the war. Disgusting, ban the lot of em. Whenever I think of opposition fans having a go at each other my mind always drifts to Napoli fans away at Hellas unveiling an enormous banner saying 'Juliet Was A Slag'. That's not a delightfully inventive slant on an insult, but is in fact misogyny at it's worst. Ban em.
Funny what riles different people up. Saw a documentary on a Derby game in Istanbul. Fans swearing at each other and calling the others every name u derv the sun, kept apart by tooled up riot cops. Then all hell broke loose and the police couldn't control it. The reason for this? One set of fans had pointed at the other whilst chanting "Your mother drinks alcohol".
Sorry, so just weeks after a terrorist attack in their City, it's acceptable to mock them for it? And Hull isn't a **** hole because it was bombed, it's a **** hole because its industry died out and was full of jobless people. We were bombed decades ago and there are still parts of it that are crappy, that was an excuse in the fifties, not now 70 years later. You can't justify it, it was an abhorrent chant and not in the least bit funny.
I'm certainly not justifying it but to say it was all the north east corner and beyond isn't true either
Has Patty hacked your account? Mocking people over a recent terrorist attack isn't remotely funny and anyone who does it is a ****ing bellend.
I almost got thrown at Bury a few years a go for singing 'You're just a town full of pikeys' and the stewards started moving towards us and ejecting my mate for racial abuse. They thought we were saying 'pakis' apparently. When i said 'we're singing pikeys love' the stewards just laughed and went 'oh thats fine then' and went back to their positions. It's weird what you can and can't say.
When did I say it was funny or that I approved of anyone who did it? But other than that, good points well made.
In parts, yes. I would say more of Hull is **** than good, but at least the ratio is swinging back the other way. So if mocking terrorist bombings and homosexuality isn't disgusting, or funny, or malicious in an attempt to get the opposition fans riled up, what exactly is it?
People like saying stuff for a laugh that they normally wouldn't say or don't actually think. It's part of the shock value and getting away with stuff stype of humour. Just like there are lots of people who'd make an ironically racist/sexist/homophobic remark in privary to their mates and yet everyone in the room knows none of you actually think that.
Yes, and that is far from saying it is funny or acceptable. I also said I found it no different to singing "Hull is a ****hole", I find both chants to be in poor taste.
