Contract Law dictates he has to be getting paid and this will be not a bad wage (unless you believe he is getting the minimum wage).

We have the same issue with Ferre Bodde. It is considered a lower risk option for a club however don't believe he is getting nowt.

What's the situation with Ferre Bodde? Always thought he was way too good for the Championship, has he recovered yet?

He got over the second knee injury and started a pre-seaseon friendly in July but was taken off after 15 minutes. We were told that that was always as planned as it was part of his rehab, but he has not been seen playing since and rumours are flying around. I wait with baited breath as he is one class act, but Brendan's last soundbite tends to make me feel pessimistic about us seeing him again due to a recurrence or just the mental issues that a player needs to overcome. I quote....

"It's a slow process with Ferrie," Rodgers said. "It's something we are monitoring on a day-to-day basis.

"He came through the beginning of pre-season well.

"He has not taken a backward step, but it's one where he is still getting some pain in his knee, which doesn't let him feel that he can push on as much as he would like.

"He is working tirelessly with our medical team — we are doing everything we can to give him the opportunity to play, but it's not something you can rush.

"It's something we just need to do in Ferrie's own time.

"When he feels right, hopefully he will get back on to the field."

Hopefully I'm wrong as the his talent would grace the Premier league, and at his best he could have played in almost any side in this division.

Not broken - but only lasting 7mins isn't a great sign. Not sure he is going to be playing very much,

Before you ask me to get off my high horse, stop and think.

You'll notice I pressed reply with quote this time. However, the first post I pressed reply. That means the first post wasn't directed at you, but if it was, I suggest you grow some balls and learn how to take some criticism.<ok>

Criticism I can take, but you posted after myself and it looked you was referring to me, in any case I don't think Thai was being malicious to dyer, just referring to the situation of a player getting injured so quickly after being signed! Any way will leave it to him to reply

Your post wasn't there when I replied, but that's beside the point.

If one of our own players (Swansea or Norwich) went off injured after 5 minutes and it transpired he broke his metatarsal would we be laughing about it?? (I realise you said you weren't laughing at the injury)

I do not think it funny if he has broken something but it remains funny he lasted no more than 3 minutes on the pitch after all the hype from the QPR fans telling us all how he was once an England International so must be a class act and was going to be another messiah for you. Conveniently forgetting this was some time ago and since those 'heady' days he has been nothing other than a liability and an expensive luxury for every team he has played for.

Only saving grace for QPR is the kind of contract they have given him, pay as you play I believe.

The good news is that if we lose by less than 4 goals on Monday we won't be bottom. Yay!
