Utter tosh ... you pay players what it takes to retain them / tempt them... you certainly wouldn't be offering less because they are "only 21" if you felt they were going to be special over the next 5 - 10 years - of course someone will be prepared tp off er Alli silly money .. and if any other 21 year old on the books starts whinging they will just be told to become that good if they want to earn the same .... simples .. To put it in perspective, Loftus-Cheek is on £60k a week at Chelsea already and isn't even in the first team ... what does that tell you about what Chelsea will pay for someone that is? ... and there are many other clubs that can also pay that kind of daft money ... Alli will go or he won't ... but it won't be because nobody is prepared to pay silly money to take him
A bold statement Glenda, but Spurs are still in the second tier of English clubs behind Chelsea, Citeh, Manure and even Liverpool in terms of spending power. A lot depends on Poch, Kane and Alli, if they don't get picked off by a mega rich club, then you will be around the CL places for a while, but don't forget that there are two transfer windows every season and Spurs can't compete for the top, top players.
I used to pray (not literally) that Stoke would be relegated under Pulis, because it was just like they'd found a glitch on Fifa with Rory Delap's throws. Stupid ****ing team.
They have a different ethos under Mark Hughes now ... "If it moves kick it ..... if it doesen't move, kick it until it does move and then kick it some more" only for the purists
I used to feel like that about Wimbledon and Vinnie Jones. Hoofball tactics, with Vinnie hampering the opposition by grabbing someone's bollocks. I can't find the button to do that move, on FIFA 2017.
Only a couple are truly "your own" though, most of our young 'uns have been at the club since they were 8..
