My problem is, im not the romantic type....i enjoy watching the other English clubs get smashed..its in the spirit of the game...all you lads feel that spirit when lets say for example a Spurs or Pool crash out of Europe...if it wasnt for that element of the game we would all be skinny jean wearing hipster ****ers watching the beautiful game.

I find it hard to understand how on a weekly basis teams and their fans cant stand each other...but because they are in Europe, we need to back them. This is not a Cold War...its sport.

Anyway i reckon it will be 2-0 to the Spaniards...looking forward to the game, Leicester are more than capable of rocking the Apple cart.

I used to be like that however when we got very close to the title a couple of years back I noticed how incredibly bitter people became - even friends who's teams I had backed previously for their benefit - and just how much they rubbed it in when we fell short. The gloves officially came off!

Now, I couldn't give a damn - especially now none are English owned and very few English players are fielded.

I'll even chuckle when they go out.

Having said that, although I really don't like Chelsea I must say I was pleased that they won the shoot out against Munich as Sebastian Pigfucker said beforehand how weak mentally English players were and they bottled penalties.

He may have had a case but he made that England vs Germany rather than club football and it was great English players took and scored some of the penalties.

Having said that I'm happy for Leicester to win.

Its pretty much a once in a generation opportunity for them.

Leicester are a break from the norm rather than regular competitors.

Again, I wouldn't say I can't stand the teams on a week by week basis back home. I primarily want Leicester to win, if it's another game I want the best result for us. I was rooting for Spurs at the weekend as Watford were just near us. Obviously there's supporters of team where you don't like the individual but all clubs have some fans that are twats and you'd hate every other club if you judged them by a few.
Also I like an underdog so Chelsea were that year and Liverpool were at 3-0 down! I've probably enjoyed the other going out a little bit for the first time this year purely as we were told we'd embarrass the country and we've proved not by getting the furthest. That's the only reason

As I said to Spurlock, often human nature also makes you root for an underdog which we definitely are so I'd guess we have people who normally wouldn't be bothered quite keen to see us do well. I just hope we piss more on the Spanish as they've been too dominant

But what is it with patronizing that you don't like?

    True.

Pretty much everyone likes an underdog.

I always look out for English players to do well.

Good experience and useful for the national team.

Ultimately that's what it comes down to apart from historic rivalry based on Geography. If the team affects your team..a rivalry ensues....take Spurs and Lesta for example...i only knew you for making Crisps then last year happened and the animosity which may i add was heavily fuelled by fans of other clubs in order to feed there own bile, was created.

However it goes in this tie, your team have done you proud in the CL....and thats all that should matter.

    Really?
    Wouldn't say that at all.
I dont hate people because they support another football team, because I am not 10 years old.

    its not sincere?

are you getting your 'patronising' confused with 'patriotism' ?

He doesn't do patronising affection because for him, it is patronising.
What Spurlock fails to realise, is that for a lot of people, it is ACTUAL affection.
He see's it as patronising because he sees Leicester as a club who should be looked down on, so therefore if they are shown any affection, it must be patronising right?

Not hatred...i dont hate because of it....i cant remember anyone mentioning hate....but the rivalry factor never diminishes. Just look at all the things people say to one an another on here? You telling me there is no historical rivalries influencing posts? look at Skiddy as a prime example.

No one mentioned hate Bope, forgive me father for the devil may have taken control if that is what you thought, Amen.

Yeah last year we were rivals on the pitch. Now we're not so I'm happy for you to win most weeks as it can't really harm us. I looks like our match is on a Thursday now as well

This is an internet forum though....people just say **** on here because they know there will be no consequence.
As a Chelsea supporter, I will admit we do not have a rivalry with anyone that is as intense as say, the one your lot has with Arsenal, or the Man Utd/Liverpool rivalry, so maybe that has something to do with it.
Though I must say most of the QPR fans on here are raging cock munchers.....(except for Watford)

Everyone aside from kopites was dreading that happening as we'd have literally never heard the last of it.

It'd have been made worse by the fact that there's so many kopite pundits out there, from Mickey "the horse starver" Quinn through to Thommo.

In true Kopite style you'd been celebrating the Holy Grail with those daft smoke bomb bus welcomes etc for weeks, which made the manner in which you ended up spewing it even funnier with Me La's slip and Crystanbul <laugh>
