Yes. No question they are the best attack. They are arguably the 3 greatest forwards individually let alone when putting them all together... with Alcacer on the bench who'd make t into most other starting 11s

Enrique has won a fair bit at Barca but he's such a poor manager. The Brendan Rodgers of la liga

Best defence in the world probably I'd have any of those centre backs but Bonucci is my fav as he's also great on the ball, a real footballer. He's probabaly going to Chelsea.

all italian sides get called best in the world.

Its rather easy when you play for 1-0 results most of the time. They are what they are. In england we ignore 90% of defence and pile loads of players on. We have a game of kick and rush really.

There was a reason i called this tie cerebral yesterday when trying to switch this thread from a everton stadium fight back to football. Juve make it cerebral.

Juventus have a brilliant side which was relatively cheap to assemble. One of the best run teams in Europe at the moment.

They sold a number of players and lost conte - but are still dominant. That's a compliment to the structure in place.

I cannot see Juventus not scoring when they go to New Camp Nou,Barcelona were outclassed yesterday.

it was like pushing baby chicks into a pond full of crocodiles.

barca at no time showed any ability to control a game as they once had. they were never "good" defensively but without busquets and the loss of zavi without replacement has hurt them... but their managers reliance on front 3 is every exposed now.

If barca had any sort of ability to get a foothold juve would have controlled it and not gone on but it was just too easy :)

    not really :)

its a league where theres no competition and they have stability to build over time so it only looks cheap. it also a TEAM not a group of thrown together "stars"

like.... buffon at thetime was world most expensive keeper and he might still be if not no 2.... he's there forever.. alves was a free as was evra before he left. higuin was very expensive

they've had bonucci and cheliini for a long time. chellini cost them 10mil in 2005 which is not to be sniffed at then. bonnucci was 15mil in 2010 again not to be sniffed at but he came of age at juve

    pjaca cost 18-20mil

    higuin 70-80 mil?

    dybala 28 mil or so.

they've dominated italy for ages since they got back up so yeah their system is very good just like bayerns but... its not cheap IMO.

now... the prem is nutsoid compared to the real power houses of europe. real, barca, bayern, psg, juve all put the english clubs structures to shame

I did say relatively cheap lol. But also remember - they spent a lot on the back off the Pogba money.

Your argument around the weak league is valid but that doesn't explain why they are still so competitive in Europe.

I believe Liverpool spent more on transfer fees and wages over last decade than Juventus

Do we think that the world's most expensive player is a big miss for Juve?

Surely Buffon has to win the CL this year?

    why?

there are higher hurdles to come with bayern and real.... juve have no divine right to think they are favorites here... and beating barca at home didn't help psg did it :)

Buffon might have won all other medals possible for him domestically, internationally and in europe bar this one but that doesn't give him any passes either :)

    Calciopoli!!

The mass exodus of talent Juve saw following that match fixing scandal took significant wages off their books and forced them to become a lean and hungry machine, and made them turn to building their academy into being a real source of talent. They were lucky in that they had the finances to keep growing, other Italian sides like Parma and Reggina were destroyed. That made Juve's progress even easier.

Italian football's been rife with cheating which is why I find it hard to admire any of it.

Well clearly, but my point was Buffon has never won it and for such a good keeper, they've beaten Barca would hope that this year can go all the way and just finish his collection of trophies.

If they are the best yes, over two legs juve will have a tactical ability to beat anyone. However I'm not sure they are the best side in it.
