As far as I'm aware, the Hull City Psychos were our 'firm' when fighting was a thing. Presumably they faded out when people realised that beating the **** out of each other like a bunch of gimps didn't prove anything. There was a Danny 'I'm cockney so I'm hard' Dyer program on hooligans and the Psychos were on it.
I think they evolved over the years. I've read the City Psychos book and that was nearly all about violence.
The Boro incident in 2002 will live Long in the memory. I was 12 years old and hadn't felt the urge to hold my dad's hand until that day. Awful scenes. anyway, here's the clip from Danny Dyer's thing.
Somebody smashed a window trying to get out. I just had a few more beers, was only a friendly*. *Wasn't it?
That night reeked of a set up. And the Plod settled a few scores with the ones they couldn't stitch up after the Huddersfield game when, despite the Huddersfield lot not going to the game as they were on banning orders, Humberside Plod ended up with over 20 City fans in court with jail sentences, banning orders etc, but only 1 easily identifiable Huddersfield one in court.
That whole Boro thing was the usual stitch up of the public by the local plod. Impecunious youth in bedroom films a few people bouncing in the road, spots a sales opportunity, sells it to YTV who have news slack in early August (like GY v SUFC last August) . Humbs OB see a self-promotion and cheap investigation opportunity and bingo it's a win-win-win for Elliot Cox-YTV-Humbs OB.
That whole clip is like some sort of Harry Enfield parody , I'm soon surrounded by some hull firm , are they psychos, they certainly hated Leeds.... Then cue a bunch of 12 year old Herbert's high fiving him
Sterling won't as if he says as far as he is aware means that is how it was, despite him not being around at the time.
No I understand that it started as a way of getting to away games, but then why does the hooligan firm have the same name? Are you saying the same people who travelled away from home are a different group to the people who fight? Are they the same? I need more information, if you were there that's even better.
