Cos he will be cheap! Seriously though. When i see italian clubs linked i always ignore...its 99% agent talk
well TBH anyone good enough will be in u23s pretty quick U18s is an ok level to hand off u16s to him and move them up. we are fracking useless at youth development anyway
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could spend upwards of £200m this summer as he eyes a massive overhaul of his squad. The Liverpool Echo report that the German will be handed an initial £100m to spend and that could double with the sales of unwanted Reds players. Daniel Sturridge, Mamadou Sakho, Lucas Leiva, Alberto Moreno, Lazar Markovic and Kevin Stewart are all set to go permanently and those exits will add up. Klopp will then look to use those funds to bring a host of new stars to Anfield.
They'll do bloody well to get anywhere near £100m for that lot. £50-£60m tops unless China come calling. Will happily eat my words
I'd agree. Sturridge... my god if we get 20mil out of that guy there is another club more idiotic than us!!! Sakho. 30mil? hmmmm the top 6 might pay that for a cb but the rest won't Lucas = a free stewart = 0.5mil Moreno = 10 max... and i mean max. theres an optimisitc 60mil there... so as i said its a copy and paste story which i saw for arsneal today as well.
Considering we were offered 10m in summer for Stewart, he'll be going for more than 0.5m. Despite the fact you hate him, he's a solid lower Prem central midfielder and would do a decent job at most of the clubs there and be a first team player at every championship club.
do you really beleive anyone offered 10mil for him? my understnading is a 6mil bid was made not 10mil and 2 of those clubs were in championship. He's done nothing at all this season really has he? How can that construe a "solid" lower prem player who could do a job when patently he's never proved that. we have to recall that we realised 6mil off brad smith who's not been seen at all for bournemouth.
Because he's young and English and he's proved that when he's played for us he's been solid. So I'm making an assumption based on his appearances for us that he could do a decent job at a Lower Prem club. He's a far far better play than Smith who went for £6m. We wont get 10m for him but 5m is a realistic valuation.
he will be 24 in september, I don't think where he is going to the english quotient really matters. I think this season he has looked out of his depth tactically and played very poorly and negatively at times as well. 5mil is the equivalent of pocket changes these days though. the one thing we did do was give him a long contract so the decision whether he has a career or not is ours. IMO if he doesn't move this summer he will never be a player Smith was defensively non existant. His positioning was hilarious last year but his attacking ability and pace were evident. he's managed all of 5 games this season It seems to be the common theme that is developing is our coaching of young player sin really understanding their position and decision making is really really poor.
depending on lunatics is not really a sustainable strategy. there are not enough lunatics in the world unfortunately. I eman ac milan found a couple when they sold balotelli but i'm not sure theres room for more than one lunatic in the prem at any one time.
