Not the first and won't be the last time Wikipedia has ad-libbed. Point remains the same. If you don't know the answer that's fine. Swansea as well, by the way, have a Head of Recruitment (i.e. a Director of Football).
You taken your arguing pills again this morning? There is no difference in the role of a manager or head coach in the Premier League, they're just two different titles for the same job.
No? I asked a simple question that's all. I've pointed out in all but one instance (us) that clubs with Head Coaches also have a position that deals with recruitment/retention of players. To repeat my question one final time, I'm curious to know why we have labelled Silva our Head Coach not a manager. Clearly in our case we're just being lazy and he is indeed our manager. But if there's no real reason for it then that's that.
If anyone was curious about the key distinction between the two, there is actually a difference between manager and Head Coach which is why I asked: https://offsiderulepodcast.com/2015/02/04/head-coach-vs-manager-an-unnecessary-trend/
I've answered the question, Walter has answered the questions, Bummers has answered the question, you just keep repeating it anyway.
I have Bummers on ignore so I wouldn't have a clue what he says. None have actually answered it though, you've just shrugged and said "They're the same thing." when they aren't. If you don't have a proper answer that's fine, not worth getting worked up over.
This. A 12 month contract is not exactly a golden handcuff. Silva's time at City will be defined by the better offers he does or doesn't receive, not the contractual fumblings of Allam junior.
At least if we stay up we'll get some decent compensation for him, which is probably the best we can hope for.
Not sure why everyone is so pessimistic about the chances of keeping Silva, if we stay up I think he'd see out next season for us to prove this wasn't a fluke, then set his sights on a big job, rather than settling for a Watford or West Ham.
I'm sure chairmen think there is a difference. But they can employ anyone under any job title it doesn't make a difference. A chairmen could employ a 'Head Coach' one week and a 'Manager' the next and give them the exact same mandate. It's like the difference between a checkout operator and a customer service operator at Morrisons i.e there isn't a difference.
If you say so. I'll take Mauricio's word over yours that there is actually a difference though! Still a bit bemused this got blown so out of proportion with no one giving a proper answer but oh well. Guess it's still early over there. Not time yet for a coffee!
Yes I'm sure you are totally bemused. Still, you've got enough pointless debate for your **** bank so happy days.
The other key consideration for Silva is whether he has the tools available to him next season to survive in the PL. There is no way he will risk having a Phelan-style foot of the table struggle on his CV. If Ehab repeats last summer's ****wittery and sods off to the Med when he should be building a decent squad, we won't see Marco for the dust.
Not sure what you're on about but I wasn't the one who started any sort of "pointless debate". I guess discussing football on a football forum is a bit much to hope for though.
