He might not get a better offer until the winter, so he'll want his best players here in the meantime.
I've a feeling unless Arsenal start winning and get to a top 4 finish then I think he will fall on his sword. I maybe wrong, but maybe he will just move up stairs as director of football as a face saving exercise.
He didn't leave anyone mid-midseason, nor did he leave Olympiakos to manage in the Premier League (though he no doubt wanted to).
He left Olympiakos with the intention of shopping himself around in England. I thought that was well documented when he first became our manager.
Why have these been merged? My thread contained actual news confirming the existence of the 12-month extension clause.
He left Olympiakos because he didn't want to be at Olympiakos. No doubt he fancied a crack at the Premier League, but if he'd got offers in the summer from Serie A or La Liga, he'd probably be there now.
So why did he spend so much time learning English? He always had an intention to move to England. Presumably why his CV first passed our table back in July/August.
He was keen on moving to Inter Milan just before he came to us... http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/wolves-face-frustration-marco-silva-9137227
Had probably given up hope of landing an English job this season by that stage. Bit of a pointless conversation this one.
It's his job When I decide to leave mine I'd like to think I'll have the professional integrity to do it properly until I do retire It would be weird, and not in keeping with his style at all, if he wasn't currently informing the owners who he suggests should be retained...you know...with it being his job and all!
