Benny had a bit of a mare yeasterday ... but he's been OK since he came in otherwise (as the results show) ... he'll definitely be better with Fuchs and Simpson there as part of that back 4 if Wes is still out)... but we made 5 changes yesterday- was always going to be a big ask. ... that said Leo Ulloa had a couple of good chances - and the other forwards are all scoring right now ... so on we go.

He looked terrible, but tbf we've made a lot of CB's look terrible at Goodison of late.

Have you got an account on GOT the Everton site btw?

Didn't they rest their two first choice FBs? Maybe that's what left Benalouane looking exposed. I heard he played quite well against Stoke and Sunderland.

As Archers said, we had 3 first choices defenders not playing and unfortunately Morgan is out like you say. We are completely different with Simpson and Fuchs. Add to that Ndidi missing and Okazaki not there working his ass off it's not the best match to judge us on and was a gimme to Everton. Fair play though your team looks ruthless going forwards and the home form is quite something. I like how the youngsters are getting a chance and you were in a similar boat to us with defenders being out but your attack penalised us more than we did you.
Good luck with the rest of the season :emoticon-0148-yes:

Yes - that was my point .. Chilwell is 19 years old and still a bit raw whilst Amartey is more of a centre-back/defensive midfielder than a full back ... Benny had been playing with the established other 3 up until now ... he played very well in his other games as you note ..

Isn't it funny how when somebody posting on these boards has nothing to actually contribute, their go-to options are either accusing other fans of "bitterness" or stampeding towards the facepalm emoji in the mistaken belief that constitutes a valid or meaningful point?

As for saying just six clubs have won the Premier League...and? Blackburn won the Premier League, and look where they are now. Does that mean their fans should be banging on about "making history" too? At least they wouldn't sound quite as Liverpudlian in doing so, since they'd have waited over twenty years to do so, rather than less than one year...

Not quite as funny as the obviously still bitter brigade petulantly bleating that they are not bitter ... but a sense of humour is of course individual ... so are degrees of bitterness <laugh>

As for saying that 6 clubs have won the EPL ... well that's just a fact ... your's isn't one of them (at least not yet) ... deal with it ...

Can Blacburn fans bang on about winning the Premier League? ... yes they can ... because they did ... you haven't , so yours can't ... deal with it.....

As for being Liverpudlian ... we are currently the reigning Champions ... they are not ... unfortunate for them ... good for us .. they sem to be dealing with it better than are at us having won the title by a ten pont margin ... perhaps because that is something that you can't match this season (by the look of things) ... deal with it..

Now I'll leave you to your lemon sucking and bitterness denial <laugh>

    Thanks for proving my point.

No, wait...thanks for proving my points, since you also did a good job of proving my point that Leicester fans are starting to sound worryingly Liverpudlian. You should probably ask Blackburn fans how their little bit of history is paying the rent, though.

Maybe you should do what Danny Simpson refuses to do and eat some pasta. I hear the lutein and zeaxanthin content help improve vision, which could help you see that you failed to make a single valid or reasonable point amidst all that bluster.

You sound as bitter as ****.

They won the league, they have therefore earned their season as 'current champions', they aren't harping on about past glorys as their crown hasn't been handed over yet.

Only thing more boring than a man obsessed with point proving .... and that's a bitter man obsessed with point proving ... I like pasta ... but I often find spuds fatuous and bland ... guess we are all different.... each to their own

Maybe you can ask your grandfather what it feels like to have won any kind of title? ... and whether he shares your habit of lemon sucking? <laugh>

Having past glory is better than having none.

    That for us and Everton.

He seems remakably similar to Plump Pete characteristicaly... possibly a cousin? <laugh>

PS thanks for highlighting a particular valid and, I think. "reasonable" point that the pontificatng, Lenny The Lemon Sucker, missed ... probably because he didn't actually read the post as he was too busy googling "chemical vision enhancers" <whistle> ... he might just be an optician tbf ... but that seems unlikely if he is a long term Spurs fan <laugh>

As it appeared to go over somebody's head, I guess I have to repeat myself: Isn't it funny how when somebody posting on these boards has nothing to actually contribute, their go-to options are either accusing other fans of "bitterness" or stampeding towards the facepalm emoji in the mistaken belief that constitutes a valid or meaningful point?

Unless you're in a Barnsley pub and it's your turn to get a round in, there is no reason for "bitter" to be your first, last and only response.

There's one thing more boring than somebody who cannot see that they're wrong, and that's someone who start kvetching to other people that somebody dared point out to them the fact that they were wrong rather than admit that they are wrong. If that description sounds uncannily like the recent contributions of JohnTheFox and FosseFilberto...doesn't that prove a point?

    Who's wrong and why exactly?

All is can see is some cry arsing Spud, with verbal diarrhoea, who probably can't handle the fact that Spuds came 3rd in a 2 horse race with Leicester last season.

I'm sorry... that went over my head .... although there was a distinct tint of lemon juice in the air as it passed above ...you've posted a few times now but I don't think you have made a single reasonable or valid point ... although to be fair to you, you have now at least finally admitted to the underlying bitterness you are still feeling <laugh>

Never mind ... I'm sure you realise that after this one particular season (just like us with our habitual relegation battles) you will be resigned to the normality of finishing below Arsenal season after season ... because thing never actually move forward in football do they? ..there is simply the odd hiatus once in a blue moon...

Enjoy your moment ... and ignore the bitters that are sure to appear after and remind you of your proper place in the shadow of the big gun <ok>

I agree with you for once ... he is certainly contending for the title of biggest and most bitter Spud bellend on this thread ... and we all thought that particular title had been well and truly sewn up, didn't we?

Glad you've seen the light buddy ... you aren't looking quite so silly these day .. keep it up <laugh> <ok>

  19. Well, first off, it isn't conducive to a constructive argument to trot out that "can 3rd in a two-horse race" bollocks, Tobias!

Why Spurs should come in for more criticism regarding last season's performance that United, Chelsea, 'Pool, or City, merely for having the temerity to push LCFC for most of the season, I will never know!

It's pathetic, when you think about it.

And then you wonder why certain Yids have a pop back! Unbelievable!
