There next home game is Stoke . If we can win next week then Stoke will be looking at the Swansea game as a must win . Can see several weeks of sweaty palms though for us and a few others .
I think 38 will be enough (2 wins and 2 draws) and 37 most likely (2 wins and 1 draw) but I'd like that before Crystal Palace match it would be easy to lose the last two matches and it would be easy to lose to Stoke and Southampton it would be fantastic to beat Watford (33) and Sunderland (36) and then win at Crystal Palace (39) and then draw against Tottenham (40) to preserve MS's record
You Just Keep On Giving Peter. You Really Could Aspire To Heights As Such A Woman Pleaser.. With Practise.
hoping doesn't make it happen in normal circumstances a team below us can always pass us and teams above us can go below us this is why it can be better that two teams around us get two points between them rather than three points between them it's only when it is unlikely that a team below us will swap places with a team above us that we should want the team above us to win
Well obviously, but it's a discussion of what we want to see. I want to see Swansea lose their last 6 games.
We 'just' need to match Swanseas results. Although that would make the last game v Spurs a nervy one where my buttocks would be flapping and anal sphincter not as tight as usual, given Swans play West Brom same day. Having said that we have 'form' against Welsh teams on the last day of the season ... Cardiff at home to go up and Swans away years ago to stay up. The swans game was almost postponed cos of flooded pitch and City players were ****ting themselves cos they were all booked to go on end of season tour the day after the game & wouldn't have been here for the re-arranged fixture.
Its difficult to say but two wins means they have to win three either that or two wins and two draws and then its goal difference. I think like us they have some winnable games so its impossible to work out although making any team from the bottom three to win half of their remaining games is not easy for them. I would say win two home games and any points away from home would really put the pressure on them. I think eight may be seven points would be enough but who knows a team only has to win a couple of games then everything changes.
I want Hull City to win their last six games using your theory it wouldn't matter what Swansea did but in real life it does matter
Only realized this morning that Swansea haven't won in 5 so suddenly their form doesn't look so good.
Problem was, all of the City players were off on the piss, we wouldn't have had reserves to call on. We'd already managed to stay up. Swansea were outside the play offs and were neck and neck with another team. The FA wanted all games to kick off at 3 so that no-one gained an advantage. As it was our game kicked off about 3/4 hour later, cos it pissed down in wales.
