Some people don't even like music.

    Like Coldplay fans for instance.

Is there any chance the Moderators create a music thread so this one can focus on the heading!!! It was one of the only sensible threads on here that was good and giving relevant information about The City of Culture works/ updates on events.

An evening well spent! Would love to see the Watersons tribute tonight but that has been sold out for weeks. Next up on Saturday is the choir from Sierra Leone and (the brilliant) Martin Simpson - tickets still available.

Currently listening to it live on Radio 3 - brilliant. Great impromptu version of Mike Waterson's Three Day Millionaire.

Saw Radio One Roadshow from Brid in the sweltering Summer of 76. Paul Burnett on the wheels of steel. Smiley Miley in charge of the daily guess the mileage from the previous day's venue competition.
    Proper Radio One.

Yesterday we walked from the Marina via ferry terminal to see the art in The Deep car park, Victoria Square to see the poppies, visited Maritime Museum, saw the windows and plane in Hull station, saw the Hull land train, visited Trinity Square for a drink, had fish & chips at Lion & Key, walked back to the Marina via Humber Street. Everywhere was very busy in beautiful sunshine. Lived in Hull nearly sixty years, never felt more proud of my city.

Remember Martin Green saying that one of the most important things was to just get people out and about in the City and enjoying it
    That bit is certainly working

Unfortunately it should have been like this decades ago. The same goes for a lot of other UK cities as well. This country has lagged behind Europe in having city centres which are pleasant places for people to wander about.
