Max Verstappen is silly fun.

 

I repeat: Max Verstappen is ****in' magic.

 

I fell asleep just as he picked up that first birdie on the charge. Pleased to see Sergio up there with him too.

If any of the current top three win this, I'll be happy (I've always liked Fowler too).

Interesting last few laps for the Red Bulls.

 

Terrific over last 7 holes for Rose. So nearly won the Open as a young amateur and then couldn't buy a win and earned the nickname 'Justinvited' (ouch), so great to see how you can rebuild your career if you have the character (and the talent of course). Moving to the US was the best thing for him in the end.

 

I bloody missed it!

Woke up at 3 wide awake so thought I'd just stay up, drifted off again around 6 until half 8.

What was podium? And was it a good race?

 

Hamilton, Vettel, Verstappen. Hamilton untouched, but some interesting battles down the field. Two safety cars in first 10 laps played a part.

Enjoying the final round of the Masters.
Rose and García leading the way, although Sergio is wobbling a little, over the last few holes, just dropped a shot on the 10th, to go to -7.
Rose now sole leader on -8.

 

Also enjoying the little interludes with Ken Brown, showing all the nuances of the course, and pointing out just how hilly it is.
Must be so tiring a course to play.

 

Suddenly my e/w bet on Kuchar isn't looki too bad. Rose looks to have this in the bag, which is annoying as he has an incredibly punchable face

 

García still wobbling, and now -6*, two shots behind Rose.
Kuchar with a hole in one, on 16, then signing and giving his ball to a young fan, green side. Nice moment.
Rose just missing out on an eagle, then a birdie, on the same hole, still at -8.

It just takes one bad hole, as Spieth found last year, to turn things around.
Easy to say, but Rose needs to play par golf and hope the challengers don't hit birdies.
Rose has an ice cold demeanour, that reminds me of Nick Faldo, in his heyday.

 

Sergio now just 1 shot behind, at -7.

The crowd reaction to Sergio's eagle was akin to him being American.
