Just in...wow what a fantastic performance and how brilliant were those goals...4 cracking strikes in one game! With City and Liverpool winning there is huge pressure on united and arsenal tomorrow and monday. Can't see Chelsea crumbling but great to see us playing so well...6 wins on the trot and in last 16 matches it is: W 13 D 2 L1 COYS
Can u feck off onto the Chavs board and start predicting their continued success??? It's reached that stage now!!
"Must say Spurs go down at any opportunity and think the world's against them when they get challenged." This is a comment on the Watford match thread..... Now, I know I'm biased but - really????
I'll be honest and say I had a bit of a rant when I saw the team sheets. I wasn't impressed to see my favourite Kyle Walker to be rotated for an inferior player and I was even less impressed to see that donkey up front. Well I got that one wrong as Trippier went on to have a blinder and Jansen more than contributed to what was a brilliant display from all. That was excellent entertainment and all the goals were superb finishes. Son and Dele were just fantastic and just edge Trippier out as man of the match in my opinion. Great to watch and a really good afternoon at the Lane. I remember saying last year when Watford came to the Lane how surprised I was at the muted reception given to Gomes. Completely different today as he was given a great welcome back. And really nice at the end to see him return the compliment by walking round and applauding all 4 sides of the stadium. We're into squeaky bum time now, thank goodness Pochettino has more faith than I did before the start today. COYS
Last season the cry was that we didn't use the squad enough. This time round We've had less choice. It's worked pretty well except for our 3 losses and early when we lost Harry Kane. Now we've got rid of the international drain on our best players for this season, we should be fine from here on in barring freak injuries that we've had too many of.
What I love about that is that Jan was strolling out, and then when he realised what was on immediately started sprinting forward.
I love how Eriksen shrugged off the Watford player having a handful of his shirt and just ran with the ball.
What that clip doesn't show is the chasing back Jan did when that move broke down. An immense attitude.
I actually thought we were in the game for 15 minutes going on the front foot (much more so than last season) but Ali showed his class and so did the rest of your team. Least it keeps the title race going from a neutral point of view.
