We are pretty awful once again, except the back 3.

 

I'm the only Ranger in this Brighton pub. Laughing at them cheering the offside goals has been my entertainment so far.

 

Well I think we've played fine against a good team.

 

I'm rather enjoying this!

After last week when I fell asleep (aided by doing a 7.5 mile run) and we looked sluggish and like we'd had no preparation after the international break, this is much better - we look sharp and are giving it a go.

Hanging in there at times but they are a strong team but we are competing well.

Only did a 5 mile run at lunch so might stay awake for this.

 

we could have had a pen too.

 

I always think that lining up against Perch must be like facing a beserker armed with nothing but football boots.

 

I think the difference is Brighton's passing is a lot slicker, they seem to pick out players with ease whereas we seem to hit and hope...

 

Started well this half...we could do this. I know, I know...it's the hope that kills you.

 

Interesting bit of trivia - Matt Smith used to be a stockbroker and took up football late. He's great in air with his head.

Ned cocked up with a bad touch, but it was on the half way line...the fact that led to a man clear on goal is a whole defensive cock up...can't blame that entirely on Ned.

 

Brighton's movement off the ball excellent, we're often chasing shadows. We'll do well to hang on to 0-1 here...
