Ah, Perry Groves the ginger magician, we spunked all of Shearer's transfer money on him, David Speedie and Kerry Dixon, ****ing Ian Branfoot!...
Long way to go to reach that sort of level. OP's list though (living up to his reputation) is an absolute joke. No GK's or defenders? One DM? Mentalist.
Championship manager 2000/01 Razak Pingpong and Kennedy Bakircioglu.....absolute class. They should be on the list.
I played the original football manager on the spectrum back in the 1980's when I was a small child. Didn't play again till FM2007. Henri Saviet was about as good as it got for wonderkids. I always signed him because he was dirt cheap and guaranteed to be the leagues top scorer by his mid twenties. I think he plays for some small French team now in real life. A real let down. Derek Asamoah has always been underrated by FM. Can you believe that they don't have all his stats on 20/20... That game is so unrealistic.
He'd need a list of his own. Top 10 Most Irritating Twats, perhaps? Along with Daniel Sturridge, who of course tops the list on account of that ****ing dance. In fact that gives me an idea for an annual award. The Robbie Savage Award for Most Annoying Prick of the year. Could have an awards dinner and everything; maybe get football writers and players to vote separately and have two trophies.
I think these various lists are forgetting one of the greatest midfielders of the generation. Coming to the end of his time now, but still a force to be reckoned with. A certain Andres Iniesta.
He's in a different list ..Worst Ever Debut As An International Captain...mind you, he is right near the top ...and I doubt he'll ever have to defend his title.
...wouldn't have Sanchez or Aubameyang because others above do it better ...would have Muller in for one and possibly Sergio Ramos ...has his flaws but has been quite amazing for club and country during his time...
I think you've missed the whole point of this thread which was to get a couple of Chelsea players in the top 10.
