My main bet tomorrow is SKY KHAN in the opener at Aintree. 4th in this race last year. Now half a stone lighter. Prepped all season for another tilt. Being backed. 18/1 for 4 places.

    EW Lucky 31:

    1:40 - Sumkindofking 12/1
    2:20 - The Unit 12/1
    3:25 - Uxizandre 7/1
    4:05 - Henryville 12/1
    4:40 - The Worlds End 2/1

The 5:15 looks impossible so i'll leave that to Stick, i've just had a small ew on my competition pick King Of Realms 40/1

I forget about it every year but one of the highlights of each NH season is looking at the papers to see some of the absolute shockers who've got dressed up for Aintree.

    2.20 AINTREE- MOUNTAIN MEWS- 3/1

I can't believe I am going agaisnt moon Racer but have been waiting for this guy to re appear in a big race like this. He has only been beaten the once and he had his excuses then Could argue the race fell apart lto but still be Capataine who don't forget is a Grade 2 winning hurdler. Jefferson has not hidden the fact how high he rates this horse and comes here a fresh horse. Will be extremely hard to beat

    3.25 AINTREE- JOSSES HILL- 14/1ew

The most overpriced horse of the day imo beat Gods Own in the Celebration chase pretty easily and then absolutely smashed Teafortwo at Huntingdon and then could argue he didn't stay in the king George. Ran better than his place says in the Ryanair was there coming down the hill but could argue he doesn't like Cheltenham - 2 and half miles over a flat track will relish the race!

    4.05 AINTREE- SEEFOOD- 10/1

First of all a very interesting jockey booking and apparently had booked Dickie very early on, the good doctor is onle of the most shrewd trainers and knows how to target a race this has Surely been the plan. Just had the one run this season over fences for the DR then a had a spin round hurdles to get him ready! This smells like a plot and I'm sure there will be some improvement coming!

All races run well over standard time at Aintree yesterday suggesting the groundsman had the watering can out full bore. Not much good in that good to soft me thinks. A plethora of mostly ew pokes for me today. Crievehill, Mount Mews (win), Top Gamble, Henryville, Run to Milan. Good luck all.

BLACK OP all day long fella, didn't put it up as I missed the price and couldn't recommend a 3/1 shot in a race like this.

    Morning, you types.

I like a couple running in front of the ‘Liverpool lovelies’ today. RIVER WYLDE (2.20) occupied the ‘Buvuer D’air position’ at Cheltenham and I would expect him to occupy the ‘Buvuer D’air position’ at Aintree by following up his Supreme third with victory in the Grade 1 novice. Meanwhile, in the ‘lucky last’ BLACK OP (5.15) look a prospect out of the top drawer and should start repaying his huge purchase price with a victory in this valuable Bumper. His win over Claimantakinforgan looked good at the time but following that one’s massive run at Cheltenham it now looks very, very, very good. The latter opposes on better terms but I can’t see it being enough to turn the placing around.

Meanwhile, if the racing purists (remember them?!?) will allow it I’ll also take the regular readers to Leicester. Kingman’s half-sister, PRESENT TENSE (4.50), debuts for old boy Gosden and I’d expect a winning bow.

    Good luck, troops.

I say Sir Barney, you're roving eye has obviously been settling on those lovely Liverpool ladies rather than important business. A son of Frankel named after your absolutely favourite publication, the first-rate read "Weekender" goes and wins at Chelmsford yesterday evening and we don't hear a single bally word from you re his chances? Poor show old by, especially considering he is trained by old boy Gosden and went off at five to bally one <yikes>

I know, Oddy, and my head is firmly hung in shame. Shocking omission from me. I’d like to say I had the ‘family silver’ on him as well but didn’t actually have a penny on Weekender – the horse that is I had £3.20 on the publication on Wednesday when I purchased it. I’m sure the paper will be shouting the success from the rooftops next week!

Let’s hope that Weekender, the horse, does for them what Chippenham, the horse, has done for the town. Oh hold on…

That latter one incidentally has been given an opening perch of 75, people.

Did you mention this when you were in Liverpool trying to sell your over priced wine?
    I doubt it.
For shocking pictures, look no further than your profile pic. Makes me laugh every time I look at it.
And if that's your highlight of the NH season I really need not say anymore.
