They insult Pep big-time. This is fact, not suggestion.
But as he sadly knows (because Jose told him) , this will never come to be at a PL club.

L'Equipe are reporting that both Marseilles and Milan are monitoring Sissoko.

To be honest, if Marseilles were to make a bid we should deliberately stall to wait and see if a better offer comes along, and if a better offer doesn't come along we should drag the negotiations out until the last day of the transfer window - in other words, give them a dose of the crap we had to put up with when negotiating for Batshuayi and N'Koudou last summer.

L'Equipe are also reporting that OM have triggered the €7m option to make N'Jie's loan permanent.

But they may reason we are desperate to sell Sissoko for any price rather than
they were desperate to get the best possible price for their players. :( :)

Given the Milan interest (and the reports the Chavs are looking at him) that's enough of a reason to string OM along for as long as we feel like

Just how many Schalke players are we signing this summer? First we've been linked with a move for Max Meyer pretty much all season, more recently we've been linked with Leon Goretzka, and now Bild are linking us with Sead Kolasinac, who will be out of contract this summer.

Of course we all know how the English press will spin this: they'll say we're interested in Kolasinac as a Danny Rose replacement...

    :::EDIT:::

Jamie Carragher is saying we should make a summer move for Daniel Sturridge.

Or, you know, we give Rashford everything he ever wanted: regular football, a coach with a reputation for nurturing young players, the squad number previously held by the player who inspired his game, Champions League football...

When AVB was made boss the biggest reason I was anti him was his attitude towards us strsight after he became chelsea manager.
It was him that not only unsettled Modric but then had the ****ing gall to go on tv and say that Chelsea were not going to be held to ransome over the price!
Expecting Super Pep to do exactly the same this summer ... try to unsettle 3 or 4 players, complain that Levy is being unreasonable as City have offered a fair price and get loads of support in the media for standing up to inflated prices of English players.
Talksport this morning talked about how this summer Spurs will need to make a big decision about keeping their players.

What needs to happen for them to accept the truth?
We only sell key players who demand to leave by going on strike or refusing to sign contracts when nearing yhr end of their current one.
We have not sold a key player to an English club for NINE years.
It is not a big decision to tell City/ United/ Chelsea etc to **** off

Since we haven't been linked to an obvious transfer auction for, ooh, about three days we're being linked with Taurine FC Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita

If we look at this seriously, Keita would certainly fit into midfield as his style of play is pretty similar to Dembele's, albeit he's more positive with his passing from deep - and that signing him guarantees that Sissoko would be off to pastures new come August.

Of course, looking at it pragmatically, there's a ton of issues: first of all, Keita only joined Taurine Leipzig last summer...from Taurine Salzburg (which certainly does not look dodgy, of course it doesn't, absolutely not...) and he's contracted until 2020, meaning that the fee will be grossly inflated. In comparison, Leon Goretzka's got a year on his contract at Schalke, while Youri Tielemans may be contracted to Anderlecht until 2020 but anyone can see Anderlecht would be more willing to negotiate in good faith than a club that had to resort to buying another club's playing license in order to avoid having to start at the very bottom of the German pyramid.

I was in a South London pub watching us beat Everton. The bloke next to me says "They"ll sell Alli this summer." I gave him both barrels.

"We don't need to sell him. None of the players want.to leave. We need sponsorship to pay for the new stadium. Having the best young player in the world will help that as will the CL money for seasons ahead. Sell him and that's all gone along with half of the team and the manager. Also, if we were to consider selling him, he'll be worth so much more in a few years time. Not going to happen."

Silly **** started cheering on Everton when they scored but shut the **** up when Dele got the third.

All of Europe would kill to buy Dele and there's going to be some unsubtle moves by clubs who only see how rich they are but I just don't see any of the top 15 or so players wanting to go. At that point it's all bollocks.

The one comfort I somewhat sit here with in regards to our key players is that their market value means that only a handful of sides can afford them. The fact we no longer deal with domestic rivals means that it's narrowed even further to clubs you can count with on one hand - Barca, Real, Bayern, PSG and Juve. Juve in fairness probably don't have the same financial clout as the other four and Serie A isn't the most appealing destination to players in their prime from the Premier League.

Alli is potentially the most marketable player outside of your already coveted stars like Messi, Neymar, Ronaldo, Pogba and Bale. He's young, English, has a personality and is proving for the second successive season that he's ridiculously good for his age. Anyone looking to buy him has to factor in all of that and the fact that the Dele Alli brand will inevitably grow. I genuinely believe that if a day comes where we choose to sell, he'll become the first £100m player.

Consider Bale : 86m quid 4 YEARS AGO for a player who even with his talent
couldn't single-handedly deliver Spurs to a CL slot.

    Now consider Alli :

    - 3 yrs younger than Bale at his best last PL season.

    - Has already played his part in getting Spurs into what seems like two
consecutive CL qualifications / PL challenges

    - and this season has stepped up with his goals/performances for his club
when the PLs' most consistent goalscorer has had significant injury spells.

The Levy tax on Dele Alli would be jaw-dropping.

The Americans are going to go crazy for him. I see him getting huge publicity when the American football games start in the new stadium. In France he's called 'Prince Alli'. The Germans love him. Adidas are building marketing campaigns around him. Commercially, his value is as large as his talent.

If he concentrates on playing, his earnings from off the pitch deals will dwarf his wages, no matter who he plays for. The world is his and he's a lovely lad. Nice.
