I thought it was sensible shutting up shop when we went 2-1 up tbh. We went five at the back and i felt Klopp is clearly showing that he's learning from his mistakes in the past where he would keep attacking and we would be caught late on.

A bad defensive error from Klavan changed this however.

 

the facts remains:

we are on 60 points with 7 games to go

Arsenal now AND utd are on 54 points with 9 to go = consider then at worst level with us if they win both games in hand

City are on 58 with 8 to go. so consider then a point ahead of us.

Sure at about 60mins i looked and saw spurs losing and us winning but in the end we drew. nothign we can do about it now but go play the next one.

 

Reminds me of the start of the year. A good home win against a top 6/7 team, followed up by a very late throwing of a game against a lesser team and drawing 2-2. January was then a month full of lesser teams and we couldn't beat any of them. Our fixtures left are all very similar to that period

We have done it a few times but they are more exceptions than the rule. We are atrocious defensively and that's down to injuries and he personnel IMO.

 

And Gini's back pass as well. Bournemouth had two shots on target all match which came from mistakes and we were punished

United have a horrible set of fixtures so I'm ruling them out.

Agree that Arsenal are the danger. They have a good set of fixtures, a better team and nothing to lose.

 

Arsenal to have to play City in the cup, rejuvenated Leic then Spurs and united.

Wasn't there stat that 11 shots on target resulted in 10 goals last season?

Teams are either very clinical against us or the defence is allowing them guaranteed goals or the keeper is making errors.

Tottenham A, Manchester United H,Stoke A, Everton H
Manchester united Tottenham and possibly Everton can be banana skin.

To be sure we have to do our own job not relying on other results.

lol exactly. We're pretty good at restricting shots but we gift clear cut chances. That's not a system issue - its personnel.

Yes i agrew. Really cough up at least one easy chance a game... especially v **** sides which is inexcusible given we can stop it v top sides.

I can't comment on game as didn't watch it. But as soon as I saw Coutinho taken off for a defender I did think ffs in my head.
