Played well tonight but end product was consistently poor. He took one too many touches so many times. Encouraging thing was that he got into great positions more than any other player. He's the opposite of Markovic who only rarely has chances, but always makes the most of them.
Sill trying to adpt. Seems very anxious. But getting better and more objective. Last 120 minutes he had 3 assists and last match he got really close so score. Probably just a matter of time till we can see the best of him
I think he will get better and better. At the end of the day, he's helped create 2 important goals in the last 2 matches, which has helped us to 6 points.
I'm not having his **** touch that went to Robertson as creating a goal! Agree he will get better though, he's been getting a lot right and just needs that final touch to click.
I was actually talking about his corner for Rannochia's goal, which was a brilliantly taken corner kick.
His speed down the touch line is always going to keep two opponets tied up which is & will be a massive plus for us in the coming games, leaves a lot of space for supporting players behind him to exploit, a goal will settle him, but his energy up & down keeps me & his team mates happy.
I've said for weeks and weeks.... he's just trying too hard. I can't wait to see his and his teammates reaction when he scores. it was great to see the Harry reaction last night..
First step is getting the shot on target. He's linked up well enough with the speed we have in midfield now.
Surely this cant be a case of City fans making a snap decision about a player and then having to backtrack further down the line. I mean, that would never happen...
He just needs a goal and I agree with Sterling, I am happy to watch someone prepared to have a go having watched sideways movement for far too long
He had an ok game last night. Still largely wasteful. I still don't think he's very good, one half decent game doesn't change that. Poor touch, poor decision making, poor kicking ability. I don't think we'll see much more from him if I'm being brutally honest. If he was younger we might think about him growing into a class player but he's practically a pensioner.
Id swap him and markovic on the wings, grosicki beats his man 8/10 with sheer pace but ends up ****ing about when cutting in when he's near the byline. Markovic is more likely to jink past players in tight areas so surely he should be the one cutting in?
This poor touch is a load of ****e, does anyone watch the same game or have a preemptive opinion of someone and are completely blind to when he does the complete opposite of what everyone's picking up on? His end product isn't the best at the minute and has had a few touches that have let him down with his final ball but in terms of an overall poor touch? Bollocks, I saw him bring down multiple fast, lofted balls from distance and instantly set their right back on the back foot and be running at him, not something many have the ability to do. End product is questionable but a far cry from the **** most seem to think on here, the bloke has had the most assists of anyone in our team and signed in February so come off it
For me he can keep having 'poor touches' and be 'wasteful' all he likes if he carries on getting 3 assists every two games. I think the criticism is overly harsh, he's a winger, wingers are almost always wasteful, even the best ones. What matters is he has the quality when it matters and he's been a massive part in getting us 6 points in 5 days.
He's just not very good at controlling or kicking a football. I think those trying to delude themselves into him being able to do either should pull their heads out of their arses and actually watch him play. He reminds me a lot of Cameron Stewart.
