You're right. At the very least the decision will be on the big screen, displayed with the sponsors name and in their corporate colour scheme. "And the decision...sponsored by Primark is..."

    It'll be dog ****

It should be used for offsides, you could have a system very similar to what we have with the goalline tech where a light flashes on the ref's watch or something if the player was offside.

Like goal line technology, it'll be ****.

Invest the money getting refs up to scratch. Train refs that have an understanding of the game, like ex-players.

If the technology isn't capable of considering every decision then it's worthless.

Explain how money would improve the performance of referees, what would be "scratch" and why any ex-player would ever consider a career as a referee.

They should just remove rules altogether , no holds barred football - then we wouldn't need refs

I recall that John Salako had undertaken the referees course so that he could be a more informed match summariser.

    Scratch means up to speed.

Invest money training more refs. A larger pool will increase performance.

Why wouldn't ex-players consider becoming a referee? It works in other sports. They don't all earn millions. Top end refs earn more than lower league players.

I've thought for long enough, that if the British Premiership is the best league in the world, the best referees in the world would want to referee here. There'd be none of this 'I'm sure Mark didnt think I did it deliberately ****'!!!... IMO, each week in the Premiership, 8 referees from Britain go and referee abroad and 8 top Europe referees come and referee here. Bias eliminated, crowd pressure diminished and likely less of gob ****es like Rooney spitting in their faces.

I thought you meant the decision making.

"Ibrahimovic looked about 3 yards off for that goal. We're going to the crowd...."

    30s later.

"Goal stands. 73,000 voted onside with just 3,000 offside. This place is a fortress."

It's widely acknowledged that we do actually have the best referees apart from maybe the Bundesliga.

    I know.

So it's all or nothing? If the tech can't solve some of our issues it's not worth it? What a ridiculous notion.

Goal line tech solves multiple issues a season, and is incredibly precise. Throwing money at training refs won't see the same sort of return as investing in meaningful technology.

It depends what you want from the game & your match day experience.

It has to be all or nothing for it to be a system that's accurate.

Goal line technology solves a single issue. That's what makes it flawed.

Technology isn't the answer. It's further watering down of what was once a wonderful game to play, watch & support.

You think it's that good yet you don't even know what it's called.

    "British Premiership"

    "Premiership"

    FFS.

I am beginning to think their is a hidden agenda because I do not think they can be that ****ing crap. This has to be the worst season ever for referee '**** ups'. I believe that is the correct terminology.
