Lets call a spade a spade shall we! Paul Clement handed you boys a 'get out of jail card' plain and simple, the mans starting to look a right nugget where subs are concerned.

Sad about that result, we deserved so much more and got Jack ****. We looked good for the points until injury time when injuries killed us.

I think if Naughton is out for a while then we must promote our U23 RB because Fer is not the answer. Full back is such a specialist position, not many Left backs can play on the right and visa versa so even if he's green we need to go get our U23 FB and not dump the pressure on Fer. I thought he had a decent game until Naughtons injury but thereafter he was out of his depth as would anyone filling in under dire circumstances.

Don't get the criticism of Clement either, he plays what he's got and what he's got is an incredibly small squad. Lorente goes down and we have no goal scoring cover, although I though Ayew had a great game. If Siggy goes down we're ****ed, Carroll, Olsson, Fab. Our cover is thin it barely stretches to the bench.

Its going to be a tough run in as the games run out but I'm still confident. Boro and Sunderland have gone so its between us, Hull and Palace and there's only 4 pts between us.

Chins up, we played well tonite and have done for a while now but we're not getting the breaks. Our destiny is still in out hands, we are good enough to stay up until we cant stay up and there's plenty of twists left.

Best of luck with the rest of the season lads. The vast, vast majority of us really don't want to see you go down. Boro and Sunderland are gone, Hull have the wind in their sails now. Your game against Wet Sham next up is as massive as they get - they are in freefall at the moment and could well (he says, kneeling in prayer) take your place in the drop zone in a few weeks. The other interesting twist is that Palace's next 4 games are: Arsenal, Leicester, Liverpool, Tottenham. That's a really tough set of fixtures and could well do you a favour.

I agree. I was at the game and thought we played pretty well and looked organised. Spurs are an excellent side even with injuries yet up until the 80th Min Fabianski really didn't have much to do. The injury turned it. Look at the timing - it's no coincidence.

Am I the only one thinking this is going to go down to the last day of the season?

Lets call it a shovel shall we Phill. What subs would you have made? Our full back went off injured and we have no cover, no one. Somebody had to play there when Naughton went so why not the only other Man in the team with experience in that position, Leroy Fer. Cork has never, ever played fullback so he would probably have been as bad as Fer was but in Fers' defense, he is not a full back, no one after Naughton was.

Ki coming on for Fer was like for like, so who else?

No Baston coz he's lost it so it was McBernie, who some thought might start, me included, who came on for Ayew. Ayew looked very good but ran out of steam and when McBernie came on he looked like a boy learning a mans game so I would have got that wrong, he's just not ready for the big show yet.

Even if Leon played, for who Carroll? Cork? nothing would have changed anyway. Fer would still have gone to full back as emergency cover so all in all I think it was the injury to Naughton that killed us. You can't blame Fer for not being a right back or Ki for coming on for Fer of clement for making the call. There was no one else, it was an emergency situation and we payed for not having decent cover at right back.

We said we needed a right back in the summer, now its killing us.

You can't honestly think our situation is down to clement? You are a right nugget I must say.

If anyone has done this it's Huw, Morgan and the yanks who are utterly clueless. The blame is completely with them. Transfers have been appalling and the worst decision was the appointment of Bob ****ing Bradley.

Sorry Phill, get what your saying but disagree.

Few full-backs can cross over and Naughton is one of those few who can. I remember Ben Davies struggling for us when he had to do that and Rangel has never played on the left. I get what your saying but if Kingsley could play on the right then he would have been on the right. I just don't buy this Clement is a genius every game we win and crap every game we lose bull either. There's a reasons why we didn't win tonite and Kingsley not playing isn't one of them. We lost because of Naughtons, injury, because we have no cover at right back and because Spurs were ruthlessness when they sniffed blood and they went in for the kill.

Anyway Phill, do what I'm gonna do right now and have yourself a large Malt to the nerves. Its starting to get tense again <ok>

Have some common sense will you! One game doesn't define the season and if we had Paul and not bob then we wouldn't be in this situation imo

Try the last 5 games and tell me the nugget is not at fault ffs.........Curt would have won 2 or 3 of them games and he has a plan B and C....Clements should return as a No2 as a No1 he is not....If he has supposedly worked with the best managers then he has not listened to them, He is all talk with little substance to back it up...

Interesting stat for you dai if PC under current form was our manager at the start of the season we would finish on 40 points.

Go on then dai what would you have done? Criticism is easy without actually giving solid reasons why and things you would have done to change the situation under current conditions. We have no strength in depth and a real lack of quality on the bench.

I'm well on the malt, I can tell you!! but whether Kingsley or Olson move to RB, is down to who the manager thinks can handle it, are you saying that these two are less capable than Jazz? we played him on the left and right flanks, sorry but Fer at RB is a joke, and Ki in the middle as replacement is even bigger joke!......<cheers>

Imagine if Bob the builder had put Fer at RB, when we had Kingsley sitting on the bench? there would be plenty screaming at that, Clement is starting to look a lemon as I see it with his subs.....<ok>

I believe our fate will be sealed now before the last game of the season. The real blame lies with our board, at least the Plastic will now piss off, the atmosphere at the Liberty has been poor for a few seasons now............<ok>
